I can easily be distracted when I am playing. I don’t know if it is a lack of concentration or more just being aware of my surroundings, always with my antenna up. Either way, I’ll sometimes stop what I’m doing and start something completely different in a very sudden shift.
I’ll be the first to admit that I have a kind of goofy laugh. But that’s okay because Mommy and Daddy love it and find it to be very infectious.
I’m very good at playing on my own nowadays. I don’t need to be entertained. I just find things to play with on my own. Like a strip of tape. Interesting.
Now that I’m older, I’m much more active all the time, including when taking a bath. Instead of just being bathed, I want to play as well. So I get to sit down and play with my bath toys. The problem is that I when I sit down, I am very close to the surface
Not being able to talk, it is hard to express my needs and wants. But I discovered that I can reach and that tells Mommy and Daddy a lot about what I want. They know that I either want to say hi, be carried, or want something. It is still hard to designate which of
I came to visit Daddy at work and he was happy to see me, but could play with me. I offered to help him with his work, but there wasn’t much that I could do. I was not happy about that.
I was watching Mommy hang out the laundry today and was wondering why grownups get to have all the fun. I can’t wait until I can hang out the laundry!
There is so much to see at the park. Blooming sakura (cherry blossoms) and locks on the gate to the sand box. Fascinating!
I’m not really into TV that much, but every so often a kids’ program catches my eye and enthralls me. I can’t help myself. A lot of those shows are very cute and catchy.
A typical toy rotation for me. I play with my toys that are out and then dive into my toy box to see what else there is to play with.
Sometimes I get so involved in my books I forget that I’m not wearing any pants. Does that ever happen to you?
Whether shopping or eating lunch, I’m always observing my surroundings. I am so curious that I feel like I have to look at everything.
I kind of got turned around during my exploration today and I forgot where I was or what I was looking for. Then I remembered I wanted to find Mommy and returned back to where I had left her. Whew! What a relief.
When getting ready in the morning I like to help choose my outfit. The way I help is by removing all the clothes from the drawer that I can. Mommy and Daddy tell me that I’m not helping, but I think it is easier to choose an outfit when you first see all your options.
I tried green beans today and I liked it! At least I think I did. They were mixed in with a bunch of other good stuff. Nevertheless, I ate all of it.
More and more I can play on my own. I no longer need to be entertained by Mommy or Daddy. Of course, I love it when they play with me, interact with me, and entertain me, but sometimes I just want to do things on my own. I move around from toy to toy, read
