Yes, the table has turned, and I did the turning. Daddy lent me his lap desk so that I could sit down on the floor and play with my toys on the table. I found a more interesting way to use the table.

I woke up with a fever today. It hovered around 38°C (100.4°F). Mommy put a cold pack on my back to keep my fever down and then we went to the doctor’s. He confirmed that it was just a cold and gave me some medicine. At my worst, my fever crept up toward 39°C (102.2°F),

I really like to climb on the couch and then touch the cables and things that are behind them. Apparently this is not allowed, so after telling me multiple times not to touch the cables, Mommy and Daddy decided to try and keep me off the couch completely by putting up cushion blockers. Just checking in at Daddy while he works and chatting about my day. I know he appreciates these visits and is energized by my conversation, but it must also make it hard to concentrate on work when he knows that he could be playing with me.

I’m 10 months old today! I’m getting really close to turning 1 year old. I feel like the last two milestones for me to reach before turning 1 year old are standing on my own and walking. I tried shungiku, shimeji, and enoki today. I think I liked them. They were all mixed together so I’m not sure which flavor went with which food. I discovered a new entertainment system today: the washing machine. Something about it makes it more interesting than the TV. I don’t know why it is so mesmerizing. I find it a bit scary, but soothing and fascinating!

I’m getting to be really good at grabbing things with my fingers pincer style, between my thumb and forefinger. Sometimes it is easier using my whole hand, but no matter how I grab my food, I find a way to get it into my mouth.

I tried yamaimo, or Japanese mountain yam, today. It was pretty good! It had a unique slimy texture. It tasted really good with rice. It made it easier to eat my rice quickly, which is a plus for me.

We went to Sukusuku Hiroba today. There were a lot of babies and toddlers who were there for the first time, so they were more hesitant and held back a bit. I did not hold back at all. I am very comfortable at the community play group and I quickly wandered off on my own

Those cushions that blocked me from getting to the things on the shelf behind the couch are now ineffective. I figured out that I can just pull the cushions down to explore behind them. Mommy and Daddy still try and stop me from getting to those things, especially with all the cables back there, but
