Greetings are very important in Japanese culture, so Mommy and Daddy have been teaching me to say “Good morning”, “Good afternoon”, and “Good evening”. Since I’m still not speaking they are also teaching me to bow. Today I finally picked it up. For some reason I chose to do my first greeting bow with a freebie plastic puppet that came with a promotional package from an education company. It is a flat puppet with no mouth or movable limbs, so bowing is about all it can do. I guess that’s good because it got me to bow!
