Nap on the way to school

Our walk to school is only around 10 minutes, and yet I managed to fall asleep during that short time. I’m still under the weather. Even though the nap was short, it was comfortable and potent because I was in a pretty good mood when I got to school.

TV time

I’ve been becoming more interested in my kids’ shows on TV. I really like the music and colorful characters. I even have my favorite characters that I always point out when they come on to screen.

Crossed ankles

I’m still doing it. When I sit I often cross my legs, ankles, or feet. It is a weird habit, but it seems like it runs in the family. Daddy and Grandpa do it too!

Cups at nursery school

One of the toys I like to play with at nursery school are these plastic cups. I always liked cups. I still have my paper Starbucks cups at home that I play with. But I appreciate these colorful plastic cups that we have at nursery school. They are much more fun to play with. Recently

Swollen eyes because of roseola

Oh, where did my double eyelids go? I don’t like my swollen eyes. How much longer until I get over roseola? I’m still fussier than usual and feeling run down. But that’s no reason to not read my books. What shall I read today?

Overtired because of roseola

By the time I get picked up, brought home, eat dinner, and take a bath, I am beyond tired. I am overtired. This roseola just drains me of my energy and my normal good-natured mood. I’m fussier and more irritable. And it is not a good look for me. Some red spots have moved to

Eating on my own

When possible, I like to eat on my own. I like to decide how much I eat and at what speed. So when we have things I can eat with my hands, like bread, I’m very happy! I’m really good at ripping the bread into small bite-sized pieces or tearing off pieces by biting.

Not the birthday boy

We had a birthday party for a couple of my classmates. This is what I look like when I’m not the center of attention.

So tired because of roseola

I’m so tired that I needed a morning nap before I went to school. I even woke up later than usual because of my roseola. I was still in a pretty good mood, ate well, and played a lot, but run down. Being run down and uncomfortable can make me irritable. Last night during my

Fussy because of roseola

My teachers at nursery school noticed that I was not my usual happy self. I was fussier than usual. Even during our walk, which I usually love, I was fussing here and there. I don’t know what is going on with these red dots all over me, but they sure are making me tired and

Clapping to music

Nowadays I like to clap along to music! I can feel the rhythm and it is fun to join in the music! I was clapping along happily until I sensed that Daddy was taking a video so I stopped and wandered over to him instead. I’m sure he’ll get a video of me clapping sometime,

Fever is gone…but I got roseola

I woke up today without any fever. My temperature was back to normal and everyone was happy! But when Daddy was feeding me breakfast he noticed a few red dots around my mouth. Mommy checked my chest and belly and sure enough they were covered with tiny red dots. Roseola, sometimes referred to as “baby

Helping Daddy with his socks

Daddy always helps me put my socks on so I thought I would be nice and help him put his socks on too. Easier said than done. I couldn’t get the socks on his feet, but I was able to place them on his feet. It is harder than it looks. I guess that’s why

Smashing ladybugs

One of my favorite books is Ten Little Ladybugs. I like how the lady bugs look real on the page. So real sometimes that I think there are real bugs in my book and I have to smash them. Mason smash bugs!!!

Feeding myself

Spoon in hand, check. Food in mouth, check. Full stomach in the end, check. Well, I guess I did a pretty good job of feeding myself. Take a look:

Helping(?) Daddy brush his teeth

Helping Daddy brush his teeth has become a part of our morning routine. I’ll tell Daddy it is time to brush his teeth by calling him and then pointing toward the bathroom. When we get there I’ll point to his toothbrush and let him get everything ready. Then it is time to brush. To tell

Lingering fever

I woke up feeling much better, but according to my temperature, I still have a fever. It is 38.1°C (100.6°F), which isn’t too bad, but high enough to keep me home from school. To be honest, even though I’m feeling much better, I’m still not fully recovered. I had to take an early morning nap
