Getting ready to go to Umi no Nakamichi

We had made plans to go to a big park to do hanami, cherry blossom viewing, this weekend if the weather was nice. And it turns out that the weather was perfect! I know we just did hanami yesterday, but this is a special park. This is where Mommy and Daddy had their last mini-getaway, just the two of them, when Mommy was pregnant with me. Well, I guess, technically, I was there to. Anyway, they took photos of Mommy’s belly with sakura trees in the background and last year the three of us went back and took a family photo in front of the same trees. So, we decided to go again.

Mommy and Daddy were busy getting everything together, and I was getting a bit underfoot, so Daddy let me play with my Anpanman app on the iPad. So I helped Mommy and Daddy get ready by not getting in their way. I just sat there playing with the iPad until it was time to go.

When it was time, I obediently put the iPad away and got my stuff ready.

I had tried to get my shoes on by myself, but I still need some help. I’ve seen Daddy use a shoehorn, so I tried to use it, but it did not make anything easier.

Then I thought I may as well just slip on some larger shoes, so I tried on Daddy’s shoes. They were a little too big.

Eventually, Daddy helped me get my shoes on and I was ready to go. Off to Umi no Nakamichi!
