New school year

Today is the first day of the new school year and my morning schedule has changed a bit. First of all, I am leaving for school earlier than the past few months. Also, Mommy and Daddy are both taking me to school now. Mommy changed jobs so that she can have better hours and be closer to home. Coincidentally, Mommy and Daddy both take the same subway into the city, so they can both drop me off at nursery school and head to work.

This year I’m in the Sora-gumi (Sky Class) for one-year-olds turning two. I’m very excited about being in the older class. That means we’ll have a class of babies below us. I’m surprisingly interested in taking care of little babies.

I’m such a big boy now. I walk to school, press the elevator buttons on my own, take my shoes off and put them away, and ring the door bell. A year ago when I was just starting school I saw the older kids do the same thing and was very impressed. I wondered if I would ever be able do the same. I guess this answers my question.
