Begging to be carried
Now that I’m big enough to walk and do things on my own, I don’t want to walk or do things on my own. I want to be carried all the time. Today after dinner I was begging Mommy to carry me.
Hot and humid
Oh man. It is still pretty hot and humid here in Japan. Hawaii was a lot more comfortable. Our short walks to the park are quite draining. I think I need a water break.
“Pants” bowing
I’m pretty good now about saying itadakimasu at the beginning of meals and gochisousama at the end of meals. But sometimes I am just silly. Instead of saying itadakimasu this morning I was saying a very some “pants” with a respectful bow. I’m such a silly boy.
Watching Minions sing “Banana”
We were talking about how much I’ve grown in the past year and how different I was this trip to Hawaii compared to last summer. Mommy and Daddy were telling me how my cousins Maimai and Tata entertained me by singing the “Banana” song. I didn’t quite remember it so they showed me the video
Car omelette
Mommy does so much to make me happy. Today she made me a car omelette for dinner. Not only was it really cool, but it also had a lot of ketchup that I love! You would think that I may be hesitant to destroy and eat this masterpiece but I just dug in and gobbled
Doing stretches with Mimizaur
Mimizaur is the character in my brushing teeth app. He does funny things and I love watching him while I brush my teeth. After I finished brushing my teeth tonight I did some stretches with him.
Water play and pictorial books
Today the first thing I did when I got to school was tell my teacher that I wanted to read zukan, which are pictorial books. They are pretty much like picture dictionaries with a bunch of explanations about different things. Naturally the books I choose are all about vehicles. Today we had water play. It
Visiting my neighborhood ambulance
On our walk home, I asked (told) Mommy to take the path that went by the hospital so that I could see the ambulance. I hadn’t seen it the whole time I was in Hawaii. It has been a long time my old friend.
Talking about soup and making evil faces
Just chatting about soup and being funny. Also making evil faces.
Back to school
It is good to be back at school. I was happy to see my teachers and friends. Apparently my classmates missed me to. My teacher said that my classmates were asking about me while I was gone. I did surprisingly well in the morning despite having arrived back in Japan just last night. It pays
Good to be home
It was a great trip and I miss Nana and Papa already. The whole trip home I kept asking about them. On the inter-island flight I asked Daddy where they were and he explained that they were at home. I nodded that I understood. But when we got to the international airport I didn’t see
Welcoming buses
When we arrived back in Japan, we grabbed our luggage and went outside to try and get a taxi. While waiting, I was so excited to see so many buses. It had been so long since I saw proper city buses, and there were so many of them at the airport. Bus after bus after
Flying home
We started the long trek home, but I’m such a good traveler it really wasn’t that hard. I love flying on airplanes and know how to follow all the rules. I even figured out my preferred seat is the window seat because there is more to see before and after take off. I didn’t sleep
Time before our flight
Our checkin process and security check when so smoothly that we ended up having a lot of time before our flight. So we got Mommy some Starbucks and just hung out a bit before we had to board our flight.
Heading home
I’m very sad to say that our trip to visit Nana and Papa had to come to an end. Thank you so much for everything Nana and Papa! We had a great time! We love you! Sorry I didn’t give you guys a better goodbye hug but I just didn’t want to say goodbye and
Jello from Papa
The best way to end a great day (and a great trip in general) is to get a Jello treat from Papa. This is the man that has all the desserts. I’ll keep that in mind for my next visit.
