Lydgate beach

Papa picked up bento for everyone and we ate at the beach. I got my own bento and ate all the meat all by myself. (Nana and Papa shared their bento of the same size.). I didn’t eat all the rice, but it was still a very large serving for a two and half year old.

When I was done eating we headed into the water. It was a bit chilly, but I loved it. I had Daddy lower my feet in, then I touched it with my hand, then we inched our way into the water with me squealing for joy the whole way in.

Eventually it felt warmed in the water than being out of it, so when Daddy stood up I told him “I need water” and made him drop into the water until it came up to my shoulders.

I had fun just bobbing around in the water. Then I enjoyed sitting at the water’s edge and let the waves push up against me and occasionally knock me over. There were some big waves that ended up in splashing me in the face and getting in my mouth, but I didn’t cry or anything. It was all fun!

After a few harsh knock overs by the waves we took a break and had a snack up on the beach. I had a bunch of grapes and blueberries that refueled me. Also I warmed up a bit in the sun so I started to play in the sand.

Some time passed and then it was back into the water. But this time I wanted to head over to the small pool. There were no waves there which was a good thing and a bad thing. I had fun just the same.

Soon it was time to go home. I had to get rinsed off and I did not like it at all. The shower water was very cold and hard. It was the first time that I should any discomfort at the beach. But I got rinsed and changed and was heading home in the car when I fell asleep.

When we got home Daddy carried me to bed and I was still fast asleep. He laid me down and I slept for another hour and a half.
