School week

My double-decker bus ride to school. Visiting our duck friends at the park. Practicing for our natural disaster drill. Looking at and smelling flower petals. Rhythmic dance. Playing karuta with classmates. We played with vehicle, animal, and country flag cards. Once I got the hang of it, I wanted to play again and again! Getting

Measuring

People keep telling me how much I’ve grown so I decided to see for myself how much I’ve grown. So I got a measuring tape and tried to measure my height. It was a bit hard so I had Daddy help me.

Playdate

I was very excited about a playdate with my friend today! I needed a lot of energy so Daddy made me a special parfait for breakfast! When my friend came over I decided to play a little hard to get and hid under the blanket. We made some origami animals and it was a lot

Driving, park, boys’ night out

I wasted no time and got right to practice driving. It is one of my favorite weekend activities. I would like to do it more often and longer, but apparently Daddy doesn’t want to waste gas so my time is limited. We went to the park today. It was cold, but it is nice to

School week

The weather on Monday was really nice so we went for a walk to the park and took a group photo with all the classes in our school. We also saw a bunch of animals at the park like ducks and cats. On Tuesday at the park I found a bunch of acorns and did

More tantrums

I had another bout of selfishness. I had a pleasant walk home from school with Mommy and was well behaved until dinner. Mommy put in extra effort to make me happy and made a car shaped omelet for me I was very happy. I liked it so much that I didn’t want to eat it.

Tantrums

Mommy had to work today so I spent the morning with Daddy. We played with cars (small ones), rode my Mercedes, and practiced driving (in the big car). We also chatted with Nana and Papa while practicing driving. Daddy suggested that we go meet up with Mommy in the city and have lunch together and

Mood swings

My mood swings have been very extreme lately. It all rotates around me getting or not getting what I want. I can be super happy one moment and then be a crying, screaming, hitting, kicking, throwing terror. And that happens when I don’t get what I want or what I think I should get.

Long walk with Daddy

I wanted to go for a walk. So I told Daddy let’s go for a walk. I wanted to walk only with Daddy so I didn’t invite Mommy. I let her stay home and rest. When Daddy asked me where we were going to walk to (thinking it would be a nearby park or convenience

Driving practice

I love driving practice. I turn on the car, operate all the buttons and switches, and even use the GPS navigation system. I put in my destination then pretend to follow the route displayed on the screen, turning right and left at the right places. Then when we reach our destination, I get out of

4-day week

“Double-decker bus” to school. Nice walk in the park. Cars at home. Mommy carry to school. Making tops at school. Silly at home with pointy hair. Chilly mornings. Nice double-decker bus view. English class, washing hands, opening a flower shop. Getting tall. Growing boy needs dessert! And sleep. “Picking potatoes” and gymnastics class. Driving with

Driving and maintenance

I like driving my Mercedes, but I know that it is only a toy. So I like to practice with the real thing. I like to operate the GPS and pretend to drive to my destination. But of course with car driving come car maintenance. I have to make sure that my cars are in

Angel? Not today

Angel? Nope. Not quite. Not today. I had another big tantrum today and literally trashed the house. I’m still having trouble controlling my emotions and dealing with things not always going my way. These tantrums have been significantly worse these past few months. I’m sure things will get better and that I’ll be able to

Easy Sunday

Relaxing Sunday. No cares in the world. Washing my Goodyear car. Attaching our new good luck charm. Doing a bit of shopping. When we got home Daddy was unloading the groceries from the car and I asked:Mason: Do you need help?Daddy: I’m okay. Thank you.Mason: But you look very tired. Driving practice while chatting with

Hatsumode Shrine visit

We visited the shrine for the first time this year and prayed, picked up our lucky charms, and got our omikuji fortunes. Mine was daikichi, very lucky! It looks like this will be a good year for me! On the way home we spotted some food stands and I got some candied grapes. It was

Spinning around and yummy dessert
