
I had two new foods today. The first was peas. I like my vegetables a lot, but the peas were a bit odd at first. I think it is because they are not as soft as the other vegetables I’ve had. They were mushed up quite well, but they still had a different texture. That’s a good thing. My solids are slowly getting to be more solid. Even my okayu, or rice porridge, is less watery and the rice grains are more recognizable. I’m slowly working my way up from purees and pastes to less mushy states of food.
I also tried some oatmeal mixed with formula. It was okay. It has less flavor than other grains that I’ve eaten, but not bad. I think it will help me feel full faster.
