If Mommy and Daddy are sitting on the floor or couch with me and I want to be picked up or just hugged, I crawl over into their lap and then stand up and wrap my arms around them. They seem to love this! I guess it makes them feel loved and needed. It’s true, I love and need them. They always give me a big hug back! While playing I will suddenly do this, just to let them know how I feel or to show them I need a change of scenery. They seem to know the difference and will pick me up and walk me around a bit to give me a new vantage point.
But it is harder for me to convey that I want to be picked up if they are standing and I can’t get into their lap or wrap my arms around them. So I do the closest thing.
Works like a charm!
