We went shopping at Costco with my friend and her family and then we all came back to our place for dinner. We had so much fun together! We were playing around with the sliding door. Things were going well until I got a little to possessive over my toys. All of a sudden I didn’t like her playing with them and snatched them back. Mommy and Daddy told me that I should share, but I was not in a sharing mood. We managed to play in our own areas with our own things peacefully for a while. But every so often I got possessive and territorial and had to stake my claim to my things. It was probably not the most hospitable thing to do, but it was getting late and I was a bit cranky from being tired.
The grownups seemed to be having a great time since they are parents with little ones who don’t get to go out and socialize much. I think they were very happy to be able to socialize at home.
My friends parents were very impressed with everything that I could do. It seems that I’m a bit advanced with my age. They were impressed with my appetite, dexterity, vocabulary and sharpness. They were so surprised that I could correctly match my cards and say several words. I was impressed by the number of teeth my friend had. She practically had a full mouth of teeth, top and bottom. And yet I eat a lot more than she does and make good use of my fewer teeth. Interesting.
There were good friendly moments and some times where I was embarrassed by my behavior. At school I share very well because it is not my things, it is the schools things, and we are all meant to play with it. It is a different situation at home. I plan to work on it and be better at sharing. I just need more opportunities to do it.
