We safely arrived in Honolulu, but boy was the last leg of our trip tough. I got motion sickness on during the approach to Honolulu airport because of the turbulence. I had also eaten too much the night before so my tummy was a bit unsettled. Right after we landed, as the airplane was taxiing I threw up. It was surprising for me, I almost never throw up, but I didn’t cry or anything. Mommy and Daddy got me cleaned up, but then as the plane reached the gate I threw up again. So they got me cleaned up again and changed. I felt a little better by the time we disembarked.
We got through passport control and we were waiting for our luggage at customs and then I threw up again. So Mommy and Daddy cleaned me up again and changed me again. Then guess what. I threw up again once we passed through customs. So we were just about to drop our bags off at the interisland connection dropoff, and then I emptied the rest of my tummy. I got all my clothes messy and Mommy’s top messy. So we had to do a quick change outside the baggage dropoff, since there wasn’t a restroom nearby. Mommy had to peel off her dirty jacket and sweater. Luckily, it was hot in Hawaii and she was going to change to short sleeve either way.
And that was it for the throwing up. I had a settled and empty stomach, so I was in a much better mood. But I now realized the problem with being a good eater is that when you throw up there is a lot more to get out.
We breezed through security and a I was in a great mood when we got to the gate. I had a ball plane watching. I was very chatty, asking about every airplane that I saw. What kind of plane is that? What company? Look, a helicopter. Look, the suitcase fell off the trailer. Who is going to pick it up? Where did the suitcase go? Who is on the airplane? Look, at the airplane face. Funny.
“Where is the airplane going?”
“I don’t know. Maybe another island. Where do you think it is going?”
“Shopping”

Despite the throwing up, I still love airplanes and flying.
