I finally got to ride the Open Top Bus! I have been wanting to ride it for so long, but you have to be at least 4 to ride it. I was so excited!
When we got to see the bus I was surprised at how big it was! It was a double-decker bus so we had to go upstairs to get to the open top part.
The bus took us on a really interesting tour of the city. The tour guide told us a lot of interesting things about Fukuoka City. She even talked about why the main train station is Hakata Station and not Fukuoka Station. Do you want to know why? Then you are going to have to take the Open Top Bus tour because I don’t remember what she said. But I do remember that it was a nice tour with a lot of information.

One of the sites we got to see was Kushida Shrine, which is an important site of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival where men and boys in fundoshi carry huge wooden floats around the city.

It was also a very nice summer day! So we made sure we had our hats, our drinks, and even our neck cooling rings.

The ride was very smooth and peaceful, and hot so I got a bit sleepy at the end. Still, I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it!

Since we were already in the city and it was getting late, we decided to go out for dinner and found a nice yakiniku place nearby. I was very excited and the food was really good!

After dinner, Daddy “cracked eggs” on my head. And I did the same to him. Yep, a weird by nice closing to a great day.
