Hanging out near the fridge

Every so often when playing I will wander off and Daddy usually finds me hanging out near the fridge. It is a comfy little corner and I know there is food in the fridge so I wait around hoping that some food will just fall out.

Eating udon

Tonight for dinner I ate udon and did really well with my fork. But it is slow going so I much prefer eating with my hands.

Prefectural Office and Giving

On our walk we went to the Prefectural Office and there was a sumo exhibit up. It was pretty interesting. Back at school we practice giving things by passing a balloon around and saying “Dozo”. Well, we didn’t really say it but our teachers taught us how. We’ll pick it up soon.

Surprise for work

Recently I’ve been slipping in a little surprises, gifts if you will, into Mommy and Daddy’s work bags. I know they work really hard so I want to let them know that I appreciate them and that I’m thinking about them. Today I gave Daddy one of my favorite books and one of my toy

Corn bread

There was a new type of roll at Costco, so we figured to give it a try. I quite liked it! It was labeled as corn bread, but it wasn’t really corn bread according to Daddy. It was more of a English muffin textured dinner roll that had corn in it. Either way, it was

Nearby park

Just a quick visit to the park near our house. Daddy popped me up on his shoulders and a couple of minutes later we were there. Then it was straight to the tall slide.

Practicing my “L”s

I learn by observing and sometimes it just happens unconsciously. Daddy was singing to me and he noticed that my tongue would move when he sang “l” sounds. I was not aware that I was watching and mimicking him. That’s a good way to learn how to speak more words. Keep those songs coming!

Gacha gacha (capsule machine)

I got to try my first gacha gacha (capsule) machine today! There was a whole section of them at the shopping center and we found a few that I liked. So Mommy and Daddy decided to treat me to one capsule. I chose the gacha gacha machine that had Anpanman and friends cars, two of

Train videos

One of my favorite things to watch when we have some quiet time is train videos. No, not animated kids’ trains like Thomas. Just straight up real trains. That’s it. There are surprisingly a lot of videos on YouTube of footage of trains just doing their train thing. And I love watching it! I get

One more dinner song

Mommy made up another dinner song for me and I really liked it. I was actually laughing like crazy but once the camera came out I toned down my reaction a lot. I had to play it cool for the camera.

No, no, no, no no, yes

Daddy was making fun of me how sometimes I can be very confusing. Sometimes I say no and mean yes, sometimes I say yes and mean no, Sometimes I just change my mind a lot.

Spaghetti restaurant

Mommy and Daddy had separate things to do in the city so we all met up for lunch. It took a while to find someplace with a good kids’ menu and where the wait wasn’t too long. We had to walk a bit and I actually fell asleep. But it was worth it. Lunch was

Starting off the day with trains

I love watching my kids shows, but sometimes I’d rather watch train after train on YouTube. It is kind of my thing now. Surprisingly, I don’t get tired of it.

Pudding for dessert

I ate very well at dinner and cleared my plate so I earned some dessert. I had some pudding, which in Japan is more like flan. It was very tasty and I could not get enough of it!

I’m not angry, it’s just sunny

Yeah, I know it looks like I’m scowling, but I’m not angry or anything. It is just that the sun is in my eyes. Really, I’m not angry at all. Well, maybe I’m a bit peeved that the sun is in my eyes.

Extra breakfast

I finished my breakfast but I was still a little hungry so I asked Daddy for some more food. He got me some Cheerios so I sat on my chair and pulled the table up, ready to eat. It was just what I needed to face the day! After such a big breakfast I decided
