Arrived in Hawaii

We finally arrived in Hawaii! I’m so excited, but it doesn’t really show because I am also focused on being observant. I wan to make sure to take in everything that I see. It looks very different here. This is definitely not Japan. Our arrival went smoothly. We arrived on time, if not a little […]

Riding on my walk

Despite how I look, I really do love our walks at school. There is so much to see and do, It’s just that sometimes I’m in deep concentration on our walks. Specially when I’m riding in the stroller instead of the buggy with others.

Lid on mug

I like to observe and learn how to do things myself. Today I tried to put the lid on my mug all by myself. I’ve seen Mommy and Daddy do it hundreds of times but I figured that I should try it out myself. I didn’t quite get it, but pretty close.

Cicada

Our teachers caught some cicada for us to take a look at.we were scared of them at first and then really interested in them. We even tried to touch them. They were still a bit icky, but also cool,

Obachan had to go

Obachan had to go home and that made me really sad. I was so happy to see her, and then she had to go. Luckily, we had several hours together, which was really nice. But a nice time together makes it even harder to say goodbye!

After catching up and playing in the living room a bit, we decided to go shopping. Obachan had some things to buy, so we headed to the mall. It was good to get out of the house. It was way to hot to go out to the park or anything, so the mall was a

Standing up a lot (wobbly)

I’m standing more and more every day and longer and longer. Some days I just shoot up to my feet and stay standing there for a few seconds. Other days I take a few steady steps. Today I was very excited and hyper so even though I stood up a lot, it was quite wobbly

Tiny rice mustache

Mommy and Daddy were very worried about this tiny rice mustache that I had. I think they didn’t want me to breathe in too deeply otherwise the rice would go right up my nose. They were able to remove the grain of rice before it had any chance to enter my body.

Morning nap

I woke up early and Obachan is visiting early this afternoon, so I figured that I should get my nap out of the way. It is surprising how quickly I can go to sleep when I want to.

Sliding door (timelapse)

I still love opening and closing the sliding door. I can do it for a very long time without getting bored. For some reason I find it very interesting. Instead of boring you with a 15 minute video, here is a timelapse video of one of my sliding door opening and closing sessions.

Chill morning

Nice lazy Sunday morning. Time to chill.

Obachan is here

I was hiding behind a curtain (actually having a private bowel movement) when I heard the doorbell rang. Obachan arrived! I rushed to greet her and then escorted her into the living room. What a gracious host I am.

Brushing teeth timer v.2

We started using a new brushing teeth timer. It is cuter and more visual, which is good because I do not understand numbers. The video shows a monster’s mouth with foam being brushed away. It worked and I gave up the toothbrush at the right time and let Daddy finish my brushing. So the timer

Masking tape

Daddy brought out some decorative masking tape for me to play with. I started by pulling off the pieces that Daddy stuck on me and then tried to put it on Mommy. It was harder than I thought and I just ended up dropping pieces down the back of her shirt. Mommy got her revenge
