Staying in school

I woke up today feeling so much better than before. It was a pretty tough three days, but I was a trooper and made it through and was even able to have some fun too! I’m glad that my fever subsided before school today. I was back to normal and happy to be at school, […]

Feeling better

Even with a fever, I have a pretty good appetite. This is good because it gives Mommy and Daddy one less thing to worry about. But I was an especially good eater this morning since my fever broke. I’m feeling a lot better. I had a lot of energy and was excited to play in

Lingering fever

Can you believe that I still have my fever? I can’t seem to shake it. It even got a little worse today, rising as high as 39°C (102.2°F). I slept a lot in the morning. Then I started to feel better in the afternoon. I could play a lot more and explore a lot. I

Moist and hydrated

Naturally, it is important to keep hydrated when you have a fever, so I make sure to drink my electrolytes. But come to think of it, the moisturizer is unnecessary. I don’t see how soft skin will help me deal with this fever. I guess skin care is a daily thing.

Nap time

Today I managed to nap in my crib. It is not often that I take my nap there. I usually am put to sleep by Mommy or Daddy rocking me to sleep and then usually just nap on them. But somehow they got me to nap in my crib. I wonder if this is going

Busy with a fever

So like I said, I was feeling relatively good for having a pretty high fever. So even though I was supposed to be taking it easy, I still was pretty active. And it goes without saying that I had to read a lot of books today. Like I said, I was very busy. I read

Sadly no excursion for me

I woke up quite early in the morning and my fever had gotten worse. I woke up crying at around 4 and Daddy picked me up and was shocked by how hot I was. He had a hard time getting me back to my sleep because I was so uncomfortable with my fever. He had

Fever-ful day

I had a restful day with a lot of naps. My fever is still lingering, but with any luck it will be gone by tomorrow. Obachan came over to take care of me in the afternoon, and I was quite happy to see her. But I didn’t really see much of her because I was

Books with a fever

Just because I have a fever doesn’t mean I’m going to give up on my books. I need to read my books every day.

Fever

I woke up with a fever this morning. It could be a reaction to my inoculations yesterday. Whatever the reason, I don’t feel very good. I’ve had fevers before and I was still in a pretty good mood, but today I am so tired, uncomfortable, and lethargic. Of course, I stayed home from nursery school.

Filing while half naked

After my bath I suddenly remembered that I had some filing to do. So instead of putting it off I got right to it. I didn’t even bother getting dressed.

Innoculations

I had to get more inoculations today. I was not happy about that. However, Mommy took a half day off to take me so it was nice that I got so see more of her. When we got to the hospital, I heard some other girl screaming and thought, “Oh yeah, this place, where babies

Drowsy walk

I was feeling pretty drowsy during our morning walk today. You can see it my eyes. I was just staring off into the distance and eventually fell asleep. It is too bad, because I missed the chance to see Daddy. After he dropped me off at school he went grocery shopping and ran into our

TV and buckles

Just watching some TV before heading off to nursery school and giving the buckles on my carrier a safety inspection.

Moving on from peekaboo

Peekaboo is fun…but sometimes there is so much to do, I can’t get hung up on just that. So I have to move on from peekaboo to my next activity.

Pointless bath

With the weather getting warmer and me being a very warm baby overall, I sweat quite easily. So even though I just had a bath I sometimes end up sweaty when nursing. Yes, the wetness in the picture above is sweat. I was properly dried after my bath and then made it pointless but sweating

Smiles and envy at school

When Daddy drops me off at school, I am pretty much expressionless. I don’t cry, but I don’t smile either…at least not in front of Daddy. When I’m brought into the play room in the morning, I flash a big smile to my teachers and friends. During the day when my teachers enter the room

Books, cars, shaking Daddy, and toilet buttons

Not a day goes by when I don’t read my books. Today I again read them teacher style. I tried to put them away properly but gave up on that. I played with my toy cars this morning. They don’t do much besides roll around, but I find that to be so much fun! Since

Breakfast: hands and feet

Nowadays I like to feed myself the foods that I can eat with my fingers. So Daddy tears up my breakfast roll into bite-sized pieces and I pick them up and put them in my mouth. I let him serve me my fruit yogurt. All the while, my legs are crossed or my toes are

Excited to be home

I really enjoy nursery school nowadays, but home is still my favorite place to be. I am expressionless when I am dropped off at school and expressionless when I am picked up from school, but I am very happy and excited to be home!
