Edge of bed

No matter how Mommy and Daddy put me down to bed, I always manage to move to the very edge or corner when I sleep. It kind of defeats the purpose of having this nice big crib just for me.

Visiting Mommy’s friends

We visited Mommy’s friends today. They were very thoughtful and generous so they offered me some of their three boys’ old clothes. They even tossed in a few books and toys too! They were so kind! They were all very nice to me and made me feel very welcomed in their home. The boys played

Baby locks

I’ve noticed an increase in baby locks around the house. Mommy and Daddy are sure making quite an effort to keep me from opening stuff and getting to stuff. Well, let me take a look at this lock and see if I can break through their security. I’m sure I’ll be opening all the baby

Nintendo Switch

Despite all the barriers and blockers that Mommy created to stop me from getting to Daddy’s game consoles, I broke through and got them. This is probably what I’m going to look like a few years from now when I actually understand how to play video games. For now I’m just going to fake it.

Tissue feet

I was playing with Daddy and we made quite a mess. We were playing with a lot of different things. First a had fun pulling some wipes out. Daddy did not want me to do that. Then he made paper balloons for me which ended up all over the place. Then I pulled a bunch

Looking dapper

My hair is very long and it often gets in my eyes, which is why I wear it up in a topknot. But Daddy tried to see if we could keep my hair out of my eyes by brushing it a lot more than usual. It seems to have done the trick! Although I don’t

Pants head

This is Daddy’s new idea to keep me from rolling away when he is trying to change my diaper. It works pretty well! But he won’t put my pants on my head when it is a poopy diaper. It’s not like my pants are dirty. Only my diaper. I guess there might still be some

The table has turned

Yes, the table has turned, and I did the turning. Daddy lent me his lap desk so that I could sit down on the floor and play with my toys on the table. I found a more interesting way to use the table.

Called for breakfast

I can understand a lot more of what Mommy and Daddy say, especially when it has to do with food. So when they ask if I’m hungry I always answer with a grunt. Or when they say it is meal time I make my way over to my chair or to them to be put

Caught a Cold

I woke up with a fever today. It hovered around 38°C (100.4°F). Mommy put a cold pack on my back to keep my fever down and then we went to the doctor’s. He confirmed that it was just a cold and gave me some medicine. At my worst, my fever crept up toward 39°C (102.2°F),

Sleeping in awkward positions

This is just a sample of the weird positions I sleep in. I have this whole crib all to myself and I always end up tucked up in the corner. I rarely every sleep lengthwise. Most of the time I sleep with my head touching the edge and my legs bent up against the other

Blocked

I really like to climb on the couch and then touch the cables and things that are behind them. Apparently this is not allowed, so after telling me multiple times not to touch the cables, Mommy and Daddy decided to try and keep me off the couch completely by putting up cushion blockers. Another place

Chatting with Daddy at work

Just checking in at Daddy while he works and chatting about my day. I know he appreciates these visits and is energized by my conversation, but it must also make it hard to concentrate on work when he knows that he could be playing with me.

10 months old

I’m 10 months old today! I’m getting really close to turning 1 year old. I feel like the last two milestones for me to reach before turning 1 year old are standing on my own and walking. I’ve already accomplished most of my other first year goals. Obviously I’m doing really well eating solid foods.

Picking up lunch

Mommy and Daddy picked up their lunch at a bento place on the way back from the park. It was a small place, so Daddy and I waited outside while Mommy waited inside for their food. I was very well behaved and waited patiently. But I had Mommy entertaining me from inside through the window.

At the park (in shoes)

Now that I’m so much more mobile at the park, Mommy and Daddy decided to put some shoes on me whenever we go there. I’m not walking in them, but it is a good chance for me to get used to wearing them. I don’t mind them too much. They don’t help much, nor do

Shungiku, shimeji, and enoki

I tried shungiku, shimeji, and enoki today. I think I liked them. They were all mixed together so I’m not sure which flavor went with which food. Either way, I ate everything and was pretty happy with the flavor. The shungiku is a vegetable and the shimeji and enoki are mushrooms. I’ve seen Mommy and

Washing machine

I discovered a new entertainment system today: the washing machine. Something about it makes it more interesting than the TV. I don’t know why it is so mesmerizing. I find it a bit scary, but soothing and fascinating!

Tuna

I tried tuna today. It was pretty good. It had good flavor and was really easy to eat. I didn’t even have to chew on it very much. Mommy dropped the first bite, but not to worry. I picked it up and ate it. Nowadays, when any food falls onto my table I always find
