App switching

Daddy set the iPad up so that I could do some finger painting on it. But my iPad skills are too good and I kept switching the apps to things I wasn’t supposed to touch. Either I’m not ready to use the iPad to or too ready to use the iPad.

Daily check on Daddy at work

Just checking on Daddy to make sure he is working hard. Good job, Daddy. Carry on. I’ll be here if you need any help.

Legs under the table

Look at all those legs under the table! Can you tell which ones are mine?

Excited and demanding about lunch

When I’m hungry I get really excited. But when I get hungry I also get demanding. I feel the need to make it clear that I’m hungry.

Window reflection

I visit the window almost daily. I usually am just looking at the world outside. Sometimes I watch Mommy or Daddy hang the laundry. But sometimes when the lighting is just right I can see my reflection in the window. And I like looking at me.

Happy baby

I’m a happy baby! That’s it, carry on.

Hungrily waiting for dinner

If you know anything about me, you know that I live to eat. I am a very good eater and I love food! So when I get hungry and don’t get to eat right away, it makes me sad. I start to complain a lot and express my hunger to Mommy and Daddy. I’m a

Dining chair

I’m standing here at the chair where I eat my meals. I think you know what I want. I know it is too early, but it was worth a shot.

“Zucchini”

I might have mentioned this before, but I really like to play with the “zucchini” in the couch. They came with the couch cover to squeeze between the cushions to keep the cover stretched and in place. But they are also really fun to chew on. They are soft and spongy, so they feel good

Warm drink bottle

I am very curious about new things. I always want to touch them and learn more about them. I quickly learned that I do not like warm drink bottles. I touched one a bit I decided that I was done with it.

Ready for bath

I got my clothes dirty, but instead of changing into a new set, I was much happier without it. I don’t really like wearing clothes. I complain a bit when I’m being dressed. It was almost my bath time anyway, so figured I may as well just wait without being dressed.

Stroller ride

We went for a walk today in my storller. It was pretty nice and relaxing, but there is not much for me to do, especially when all bundled up for the winter. I like the fresh air, but I can’t wait to get home to be able to move around on my own.

Speaking practice: Mama vs. uma uma (food)

After my snack today, I started talking a bit. But Mommy and Daddy couldn’t understand what I was saying since the only sounds I can make are “ma” and “uma”. Most of the time I use those sounds to say “Mama” or “umauma” which is the Japanese baby word for food. These are my two

Doggy in diapers

Earlier today I kept twisting away while Daddy was trying to change my diapers, so he put the diapers on my doggy instead. He eventually got me to stay still and I had my diapers changed. So both me and my doggy were properly diapered.

Crawling off and back

I saw Daddy leave the living room so I crawled off to find him. I found him, or more like he found me. I followed him a little more and extended my exploration. While exploring, I found myself in the entryway. I’ve passed through here many times, but I’ve never taken the time to explore

Blanket wave jumps

I got to play in blanket waves again, but I’m getting braver in the surf so now I jump into the waves. The ocean spits me back on the couch so that I can enjoy more waves and jump back in. I had a blast! I can’t wait until I can jump into real waves

Under the table

Exploring under the table while Mommy and Daddy eat lunch is pretty much routine now. It is a fun place to be. It is kind of like having a fort. I’m just a bit to tall to stand up straight so I have to hunch down just a little me. I also have to watch

Sitting seiza

I’m sitting seiza (proper Japanese sitting) to play with my toys. What good manners!

Food’s gone, not happy

My food is all gone! Someone ate it all up! Sure, it was me, but I still want more. I’m not feeling happy right now.

Valentine’s munchies

I have an update on the Valentine’s Day card that I got from Grandma and Grandpa: I ate it. Actually, to be more accurate, I ate part of the envelope. Just so that there is not confusion, I did not just playfully chew on it. I actually ate part of it. I like to play
