Arm wrestling champ

Naturally, I am strong for my age and pretty strong for my weight class. But did you know that I’m also strong outside my weight class? I am actually the reigning arm wrestling champion of the household. The title was previously held by Daddy but I beat him hands down! It was a tough match, […]

Sleeping on my side

I’m not really fond of taking naps on my mat. I much rather be carried. But it seems that if I have to sleep on my mat I prefer to do it on my side. It’s more comfortable than on my back for some reason. I can also do cute poses like these.

High

I like being held up high! When Daddy is sitting on the floor and props me up on his knees, I laugh and smile a lot. Even though I’m comparatively lower than being carried by him when he is standing, I think I just enjoy being higher than his head. For some reason that is

Groggy

Sometimes I wake up from my naps in a really cranky mood and it takes me a while to calm down. Sometimes I wake up in a good mood and am all smiles and ready to play. Sometimes I sort of wake up and am not really awake yet. At these times I’m just a

4 Months Old

I’m 4 months old! Wow! That was fast! I’m already 1/3 of a year old. It feels like I’m speeding toward that 1 year mark very quickly. I had my 4-month check up and I am a healthy baby, albeit a very large baby. The nurse had to take a couple measurements again just to

Couch fun

Just playing around on the couch with Daddy. First some cushion wrestling. Then some tickling and dancing. And some quiet time to close.

Couch commander

I claim this couch as my own! Even though I am the smallest and youngest member of this household, I deem that this couch is now and shall forever be mine! Since, from what I gather, this household seems to revolve around me. I am the commander of this couch and I can do whatever

Smiles

Just a couple of morning smiles for you! Have a great day!

Off mat

I can’t roll over or crawl yet, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not mobile. You’ve seen how much I move. It turns out that all that movement equals slow and steady shuffling across the floor. This is the result.

Long effort to roll over

When I make an effort to roll over, I don’t give up easily. I really try my best to roll over. But naturally, there is a limit to my energy. If it doesn’t happen, I eventually have to give up. It is an unfortunate result, but I’ll definitely try again later.

Wriggling off couch

For a change of view I like to lounge on the couch a lot. But I haven’t quite figured out that it is not as big as the floor and that there is a risk of falling off. Today I wriggled my way off (half on purpose) into Daddy’s lap. I’d better be careful not

Lounging with cushions

Lying on my play mat all day can get boring and a bit hot on my back. Being carried is great, but also hot. I found that a few breaks on the couch with cushions is relaxing and not too hot. Aaaaaah, that’s nice.

Coffee break

We had to do some grocery shopping during Daddy’s lunch break, but we all needed an energy boost so we stopped by for some coffee before we headed home. We did take out but the weather was great and there were empty seats outside so we sat down for a few minutes. I’m not a

Driving

Okay, everyone, hop in the car. We’re ready to go. I’ll drive. Just kidding, of course. When the car is really hot we turn on the engine and AC to cool the car down a bit before putting me in my car seat. Instead of carrying me while standing in the hot sun, Daddy just

So so close to rolling over

Aaahh, just a little more,…maybe if I…I think I can get…just need to move my…aaahhh—never mind. I give up. Rolling over has been my major goal recently and I make a decent effort pretty much every day. I think about rolling over. I dream about rolling over. I even do some rolling over preparation in

Like putty

My late night feedings are a bit of a blur. I’m sure I wake up hungry, but I’m not really clear on what happens after that. The sleepiness and hunger kind of interfere with my memory. My body still knows how to cry and feed because it needs to, but my mind is kind of

Sea otter sleep

Remember how I mentioned before that I sleep on Daddy like a tree frog? Well, tonight it was more like a sea otter. Good thing we don’t have to sleep in water. I think I am so big that we would just sink.

Wild one

Yes, it’s true: I’m a wild one! I’m always on the prowl. I poo and pee whenever and wherever I want to (while properly diapered). You never know that to expect of me. I attack smaller animals and chew on them to show them that I’m at the top of the food chain. Yes, I

Chilling with Daddy before work

Daddy’s almost off to work. He is working from home so he is only going to the room next door, but still, that means I won’t see him for a few hours. We got in a last few minutes of father-and-son time before work started.
