Taking a break with Mommy
The rule for mommies who have babies is that when the baby sleeps the mommy should sleep too. I don’t think it should be that restrictive. If the baby needs a break, that probably means that the mommy needs a break too. Here I am just relaxing with Mommy. This is so comfy!
Slothy
No, that title is not describing me. If you have seen any of my videos, you know that I am not slothy. “Slothy” is my sloth friend. He hangs from my play mat and watches me. Now that I’m more active and can control my hands more, I play with him more. Some times IContinue reading “Slothy”
Happy boy
I am a very happy boy! Even when I am fussy, cranky, or sad, I think I am still a happy boy. I have a good family and a good life. What more is there? Yep. I am a very happy boy!
Focused morning exercise
I woke up in a good mood and ready to face the day. I got right to my morning exercise routine. First some limbering up with dynamic stretches. Then I hit the gym. You can see in my eyes how focused I am. A bonus part of my morning routine was bright stretching as aContinue reading “Focused morning exercise”
Favorite Bed
I often don’t want to sleep in my crib, so I start off on my favorite bed before eventually being put to bed in my crib.
Reading is fun!
A lot of books recommend reading books to babies before bedtime to develop a bedtime routine and help them get sleepy. I’d like to meet these experts who think that a book would make me sleepy. The book did not make me sleepy, it made me really active and talkative. Story time does not equalContinue reading “Reading is fun!”
180
This may not look like an interesting picture, but it if you saw me 10 minutes before you would know why it is interesting. 10 minutes earlier I was facing the other direction. I made a 180 degree turn on my mat. Why? Who knows. Entertainment? Exercise? To get a better view? In any case,Continue reading “180”
Hands up
I have been using my hands more lately. Now I tend to grab things that my hands accidentally touch. Unfortunately, sometimes that means I’m pulling no my long luscious hair. It just happens to enter my hands’ grip and then I pull on it. Not hard enough for it to hurt or come out. ButContinue reading “Hands up”
Bigger baby
We were at the shopping mall today and decided to have another weigh in session. Naturally, we knew that I got bigger. I’m getting bigger every day. We were a little surprised at how big I got. I am 7415 g (16.34 lbs) pre-feeding and 7535 (16.61 lbs) post-feeding. Please remember that I am notContinue reading “Bigger baby”
Tummy time: Heads up
Whew! Tummy time is a good workout. It’s hard, but I’m starting to see some progress. Not only am I getting better at holding my head up, but I can also look around more.
I want you to know that I’m sad
One of my strengths is my wide range of expressions. Not being able to talk yet is a real bummer, but I do what I can to let Mommy and Daddy how I feel. Along with my cries, coos, calls, and yelps, I let my face mirror my feeling at the time. (Sometimes I kindContinue reading “I want you to know that I’m sad”
The many faces of sleep
Sleep is very important to a baby, but I’m not the best at sleeping on my own. Sometimes I go to sleep very easily and sleep for a very long time. Other times, I cry the instant my body touches my crib mattress or my napping mat. For me, sleep is not a simple peacefulContinue reading “The many faces of sleep”
Fist bump
Daddy sometimes calls me “Buddy” and then gives me a fist bump. I still haven’t mastered control of my hands, but I’m doing a little better now. If you watch my progress, you’ll see that I even got the “fist bump blow it up” down. Sure, the “blow it up” part is slightly over exaggerated,Continue reading “Fist bump”
Back talk
Overall, I think I’m a very good boy. I am very nice and good tempered, and I listen to Mommy and Daddy. But sometimes I don’t always agree with them. Now that I’m learning to converse more I can express myself better and let my opinion be known. So when I was having a conversationContinue reading “Back talk”
Good morning start
I’m not a morning person, but sometimes I have a pretty good start to my day. Today I started my morning with a nap. Trust me, it works wonders. Thanks to that nap I woke up smiling. Now tell me that this isn’t the best way to start the day. When I don’t wake upContinue reading “Good morning start”
Tummy time: Playmate
Daddy often joins me on my play mat during tummy time. He’s trying to give me a reason to look up instead of just resting my head on the mat. It’s nice to know that I’m not alone during tummy time.
Couch commandeering
We’ve been trying out new places for me to take my naps, because I normally don’t like to be put down. We tried the couch again today, and it worked pretty good for a while. I always feel like I’m a big baby boy, but when things are put in perspective, I realize that IContinue reading “Couch commandeering”
Conversation about food
You know how I have chats with Daddy while sitting in my Daddy chair? Well, recently, our chats have developed more into full on conversations with me doing my part to keep the conversation going. It is really fun to interact with Daddy. Today’s topic was food.
Unswaddling
Swaddling works sometimes, but at other times I cannot be contained, even in my sleep. I just keep kicking at the blanket until I get free. But sometimes not all of me gets free.
