Taking pants off

I’m getting good at taking my pants off on my own. This may cause problems for Mommy and Daddy in public if I ever think my pants are too hot.

Good at using chopsticks

I’m really good at using chopsticks now. I can pick up almost anything now. I have very fine control of my chopsticks too. This morning I wanted raisin bread just for the raisins so I used my chopsticks to perform open bread surgery.

Train store

So this is what heaven looks like. Just by accident when we were out shopping we stumbled upon a store that was all about trains! There were of course toy trains, but also trains on everything else. Trains on shirts, backpacks, lunch boxes, hats, stationery, toiletries…pretty much trains on anything you could imagine. We picked

Excited about riding the bus

I was very excited to be able to ride the bus again today! But I was being silly when Daddy asked what we were going to do and what I was going to ride. I answered, “Wanwan” or “doggy”.

High chair fun

For some reason I decided to hang out at have fun in my high chair. I was just feeling silly. It is fun to pretend to be a little baby again, but also interact from a higher level. I found out that it is a convenient way to play with cars too. I my toy

Glasses thief

Yep, I’m still stealing people’s glasses (from tables or off their faces) and putting them on. I’ve been thoroughly warned that it will ruin my eyesight but I don’t really listen. I might pay for it in the long run.

My calendar

There is a cute little calendar with my pictures on it. Recently I love going through all the pages and looking at pictures of me when I was little. I’m amazed at how much I have grown.

Subway station visit

On our walk today we visited the subway station. I was very excited about this. We didn’t actually get to ride a subway or anything, but we did get to go down the stairs and walk around a bit. This made me very happy!

Vehicle exhibit

What a happy day at school! Today we visited the vehicle exhibit during our walk. You can imagine how excited and happy I was. It was as if the exhibit was just for me. It had so many vehicles on display and I really took my time examining each display. Awesome!

Toothbrush washing

The older I get the more I want to do. I’ve seen Mommy and Daddy brushing their teeth and I noticed that they wash their toothbrushes after. So I had to do it too. I did a pretty good job. I even put my toothbrush into the toothbrush holder when I was done.

Morning horsey

I got ready for school pretty early so we more time than usual to play so I requested a horsey-back ride. What a great way to start the morning! (After a while I had to let me horsey go so that he could get ready for work.)

Dessert

I was lucky enough to get some jelly for dessert today. Having jelly is rare for me so I was very excited but a bit bossy about eating it. I was just a little too excited.

Talking about down down down

On our way home form school I was talking to Mommy about who is going to go down down down (go on the subway) this weekend. I was fine talking about it until I noticed that I was being videoed so then I wanted to see what I said. After reviewing the video I recalled

Pool day water play

Yet another pool day where I refuse to wear my swimming cap. So I wasn’t allowed into the pool, but I was okay with just playing with the water from the outside. After all we have our wading pool at home that I play in all the time. Maybe that’s why pool day is not

“Wrist” watch

This wrist watch is way to big for my wrist. Hmmm, I guess it might not be mine. I can’t wait until I can get my own. It is so cool and has so many functions. One of these days.

Talking

I’m talking more and more these days. One of the biggest breakthroughs is that I say my own name when I refer to myself instead of just pointing to myself. Actually I say”Maton”. Close enough. Today one of my teachers asked me if I peed and I responded in Japanese “I didn’t pee”. My teacher

Not ready to go home

There have been days where I’m not ready to go home when Mommy picks me up from school. Some days I need an extra few minutes to hang out in the waiting room to peruse some books before I choose which one to borrow. Other days I throw an outright fit and refuse to even

Doing my own thing

There are many times at school when I’m just not as into things as everyone else. I just kind of am there but not necessarily enjoying things as much as everyone else. There are some dancing times when I just don’t feel the vibe. I can be a bit of a wallflower. However, when we

Walk to school with Daddy

Some mornings Mommy has a slightly earlier shift so she has to rush off to catch the subway while we are walking to school. So I walk the rest of the way with Daddy. For the most part Daddy carries me, but there is an agreed upon leg where I walk. I like our morning
