I tried watermelon for the first time today. It was…watery. It was very different from the other fruits I have been eating. I can’t say that I loved it, but it was okay. The texture was different and it was only subtly sweet, not like other fruits. And of course likeI said, it was watery.

Feeling a bit better with my fever
I still have my fever, but I’m feeling a bit better. I’m still run down and a little uncomfortable, but I was able to spend a day very similar to my normal weekend. I ate well and played well. I slept well too. Then I ate well and played well again. Overall, I was aContinue reading “Feeling a bit better with my fever”
Another fever
I woke up with another fever today. It was 38.5°C (101.3°F). I was hoping not to get a fever this month like I have every month since I started nursery school. But here we are, the first weekend of June and I already have a fever. I went to the doctor and was told itContinue reading “Another fever”
Reading a book silently
Just because I can read my part of my book aloud, doesn’t mean I will read it aloud when asked. Sometimes I just like to read it to myself silently.
Park: Mat and ball
We had a nice time at the park. It was ball day again! The older kids were running around with the balls, while my class sat nicely and played with the balls that we were given. It was comfortable and relaxing. Still, I can’t wait until I can run around like that!
Daddy’s hat
I usually don’t like to where hats. I’ll pull them off once they are put on my head. But when it is a very sunny day like today, I’ll put up with the hat if it means I’m a little cooler. Unfortunately, my hat is too small for my head now, so I had toContinue reading “Daddy’s hat”
Still practicing throwing
Reading a book aloud
One of my favorite books right now is Animals Sing Aloha to You. I like the repetitive sounding out of the letters. I surprised Daddy by pulling out the book, opening it, and then reading it, saying, “a…a…a..” which is the first line of the book. I don’t do that with any other book, justContinue reading “Reading a book aloud”
Tummy full of breakfast
I always easily eat up all of my breakfast, but sometimes I need a little break after my breakfast to start the digestive process.
Being picked up by Mommy
When Mommy picks me up from nursery school, she usually takes me down to the lobby of the building before she straps on the baby carrier and puts me in it. There is more room to do it in the lobby and there is a nice bench where I can comfortably wait. There is aContinue reading “Being picked up by Mommy”
Visiting the Prefectural Government Office
Right across from one of the parks we often go to is the Prefectural Government Office. I know it doesn’t sound like much fun for little babies, but they have to some pretty flowers on display there, so we sometimes stop by on our walks to the park.
Getting better at throwing
Chair walker
My chair is not for sitting, it is for walking. Well, sliding and shuffling.
Doggy with my backpack
Good angle
How I sit and the angle of my body changes how I look. The first two photos show me with very soft features. But I feel the last makes me look like a big rock of a boy.
New plate?
I do this from time to time. I place my food on my mug. It doesn’t get in my tea because it has a no spill cover. But Daddy thinks it is weird to move all my food to my cup when I have a perfectly good bowl right in front of me. I haveContinue reading “New plate?”
Happy at the park
It is so nice that we get to go to the park every day that the weather is nice! We all love the fresh air. My class can’t run around yet, but soon you won’t be able to stop us. There is a lot of interesting things at school. Today, the older class had exerciseContinue reading “Happy at the park”
Playing with my toy car
Vroom, vroom on the floor. Vroom, vroom on the table. Vroom, vroom in the kitchen. Vroom, vr–CRASH!!! into Daddy’s foot.
Me and the boys
There are a lot of boys in my class and only one girl. Poor thing. It must be tough with all this testosterone around her. Some times the testosterone can be a bit much for me too. By the way, I’m enjoy playing with balls a lot more. I’m getting better and rolling them andContinue reading “Me and the boys”
Wagon
Instead of playing with my Lego car, I played with my PandaCrate wagon. When I first got it I was taught to play with it by pulling on the string. But I figured out that I can play with it the same way I play with my car. Vroom, vroom!
