Going on a trip

We are going on a little trip today. Mommy and Daddy pack a suitcase for us and then a whole bag for me. It is full of food, books, and cars. I’m not really sure where we are going, but looking at the bag, I’m sure we’ll be fine. Still, I wanted to make sure that Mommy and Daddy check properly so I went through the suitcase and found more food! I wanted to eat it right away but Mommy told me it was for later. I can’t wait for later!

Helmet hair

I was checking out something with Daddy on his phone and Daddy was absently stroking my hair. Mommy found my resulting hair style interesting so she snapped a couple of pictures. I don’t see why it is interesting. I think it looks pretty dapper.

Beetles

Today when we were heading back from the park I noticed some beetles on the ground. They were really interesting. The were crawling around until I touched them and then they rolled up into balls. It made it a lot easier for me to pick them up and hand them to Daddy. I was very gentle with them and enjoyed studying them.

Sakura

The cherry blossoms are so short lived. They are already falling off of the trees because of the rainy weather we’ve been having. They are in full bloom for about a week and then they fall off and are absent for another year. I’m glad we got to see them on our walks when the weather was nice. Hopefully I’ll be able to see more in different areas, since they bloom and fall at different times depending on the climate.

Playing

You never know what I’m going to end up playing with when I get home. Most of the time I play with my cars, but sometimes I like to play with my Legos, doggies, or train set. You never know. Sometimes I don’t even play with toys and all I want is to read books or watch TV. It just depends on my mood.

Walking home from school

There is so much to see on my walk home from school. Of course, I love seeing all the vehicles. I point them all out and wave goodbye to the special ones like buses! I also like spotting the vending machines along the sidewalk. I only stop to inspect the Pepsi vending machines. I point to the red, white, and blue colors and say “Mama, Dada.” I kind of associate the Pepsi colors with them for some reason.

I’m a big boy now and can open and close our front gate all by myself. It sometimes takes some time because I like examining the handle and bolt in the gate.

I’m on alert for vehicles all the way up until I walk through the front door.

Book time: The Very Hungry Caterpillar

It was another rainy day today so we couldn’t go for our walk and play outside. We still had a lot of fun playing indoors and we had book time. Our teachers read us a big version of The Very Hungry Caterpillar which we all loved.

See, look how big! We all tried to make butterflies with our hands to take part in the story. Look how big my butterfly’s wings are!
