Choosing books

It was time for my nap so Mommy asked me if I wanted to choose my book or if she should. I told her that I wanted to choose and I ended up choosing a sticker book. A fun book, but not really a good read.

I chose again and chose I’m a Big Sister. (It used to belong to my older half-sisters.). Recently it is one of my favorite books. It is about a big sister and her family’s new baby.

Another one of my favorite books is Daddy’s Girl, another hand-me-down from my half-sisters.

Tomato juice

I stayed home from school today. I had diarrhea yesterday and was sent home from school a bit early. It continued till the night. I can’t tell you how many times I had to change my clothes because of diaper leakage. The odd thing was that I was feeling fine and I was in a great mood at school and at home. But a stomach bug could be contagious so I had to stay home from school today. I went to the doctor and got some medicine, but it didn’t really work that well. I still had the diarrhea and had a few necessary outfit changes. Mommy gave me a lot of liquids today, mainly water and tea, but also some juice. I even had some tomato juice. It was really good! I already love tomatoes so of course I would love tomato juice.

Anpanman helmet

A package arrived last night when I was sleeping. I noticed it first thing when I woke up. It was an Anpanman helmet! It is so awesome! It had Anpanman characters and stars all over it and it was mine! I wonder why though. I don’t fall down that much and I hardly walk into things. I guess Mommy and Daddy will let me know later why they got this for me.

Chopsticks practice

I practiced using my chopsticks tonight and I had quite the cheering section. Daddy was up out of his seat jumping, twirling and cheering whenever I managed to use the chopsticks to get some food in my mouth. He couldn’t do the same thing and take video so he toned it down a bit, but still enthusiastically cheered me on. (Yes, the following is “toned down”.)

New park

Mommy had an appointment so after she picked me up from nursery school we headed into the city toward Daddy’s office so that he could watch me right after he finished work. We got there a bit early so we visited a new park. It was quite fun, but I think I was here before when I was little and couldn’t walk or do much of anything. Well, that has changed and I enjoyed running around and riding the little rocking bugs.

Still bringing dishes to the kitchen

I’m still bringing my dishes to the kitchen like a good little boy! I do a really good job and try not to spill anything. Sometimes I do, but it is not bad considering I’m not yet 2.

For some reason I want to give my dishes to Daddy most of the time. This makes things a bit hard for him when he helps me gather my dishes from the table and then has to hurry past me to accept the same dishes.

I make sure I get all my dishes, but know enough not to try and take Mommy and Daddy’s dishes because they are glass or porcelain and might break.

Look! Up in the sky!

Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Su—…oh, wait, it IS a plane.

I’m still the first one to spot planes high in the sky when we take our school walks to the park. If I don’t point them out and grunt, my teachers usually notice my staring up at the sky. It takes them a moment to find the airplane that I’m tracking, but when they do they share the information with my classmates. I’m kind of like the designated vehicle spotter of my class.

Baby powder

Yeah, so I found some baby powder. We usually use it in the humid summer to keep me dry but I found the container and decided to check and make sure the baby powder was still powdery. Yes, it was still powdery. Baby powder inspection complete.

Potty toy

I’m still not quite ready to completely start potty training. I had a few goes, but I’m not very comfortable sitting on my potty just yet. I do think it is great toy though! It is Anpanman after all and it plays nice songs!
