I’ve assigned myself to door duty. You know how much I like closing all the doors in our house. Well, now I’m in charge of all doors and even make sure our front gate is closed after we get home from school.

We use a brushing teeth app as a timer to make sure I brush long enough and then let Mommy and Daddy do the finishing brushing. I’ve always been really good about brushing my teeth since we started using the app as part of my bedtime routine and I almost never fuss about it. Today I was messing around and interrupting the video on the app when Daddy was trying to play it and I thought it was hilarious. It was all in good fun and I understood that we were in play time. When Daddy told me it was the last time for play time and that we had to start brushing my teeth I listened like a good boy and stopped pressing the screen. I brushed my teeth properly and then let Mommy brush too.

Daddy surprised me when he reclined my chair and I fell backwards. But I was startled, but I liked it and I made him do it again and again! Simple fun in a high chair.

We got a sampler and ad in the mail for some learning materials. They are by a very famous company and their spokes-tiger is Shimajiro. I like his books and his education toys. Maybe I should think about subscribing. Hmmm…let me see…oh, first month is free. I’ll think about it.

One of the toys that I got with a kids’ meal was a little yellow stretchy rubber man who some how came to be known as “Richard”. I did not choose the toy. This particular restaurant had a capsule machine that dispensed random toys. That’s how I ended up with Richard. He is not a car, so he is far from my favorite toy, but he can be a fun toy at times. Today, Richard was reading my car book to me. I enjoyed it and appreciated it. Good job, Richard!

I like playing with the keyboard. Not only can I compose music, but it also plays the Anpanman March for me, which I love! I like to explore the different settings and sounds on the keyboard. We’ve gone through a bunch of instruments before and I thought they were pretty cool. But today we messed around with the sound effects. That was awesome!

As my prize that comes with my kids’ meal I chose a car puzzle set. There were three small puzzles of three pieces each and they were all cars! I was so happy to find out that there was an ambulance in the set. The puzzle was just the right level for me. I could put them together but I needed a bit of help.

Today we went out for lunch and although I ate a lot I didn’t finish my meal. I think this might be the first time when I didn’t clear my plate! Maybe I’m learning self control or maybe I have an idea how much of what my body needs. Whatever the reason, it had Mommy and Daddy a little bit worried. They kept checking to see if I had a fever or something. I did not. I was fine. I just didn’t see the need to stuff my face with all the food in front of me. I had a very good meal and was well nourished, and that was good enough for me.

We to the shopping mall to get some lunch, but it was really busy and we had to wait quite a bit for a table to open up. But I was really good and waited patiently with Mommy and Daddy. Then we spotted a family leaving the shopping mall and that meant the Anpanman cart that they had been using was free. We jumped at the opportunity and grabbed it right away.
Daddy took me for a walk around the mall while Mommy waited at the restaurant for our table. I had a lot of fun steering, shifting gears, and pressing the horn.
I also enjoyed our visit to the pet shop. The dogs and cats were all on a break in another room, but I had fun watching the fish, bunnies, and hamsters. They were all so cute and I got really excited! But then it was time to eat so we rushed back to the restaurant.
Playing with balls and eating my bread while chatting with Grandma and Grandpa and catching them up on my week.

Today I wanted to eat breakfast at the coffee table. I was well aware that it was the weekend and that we were in no rush to get ready for work or school. So I took my time and had fun while slowly eating my breakfast.
I was also a bit picky about my breakfast. I wanted to eat Mommy and Daddy’s eggs instead of my own. I actually threw a mini tantrum when Mommy and Daddy had the audacity to give me some of their eggs and then eat the rest of their eggs on their plates. The nerve.

Daddy was being silly and dancing very exaggeratedly for me to make me laugh. I thought it was really funny! Then I saw my bobble head dog nodding with the beat of the song. I was thoroughly entertained by my dancing Daddy and dancing dog.

Either I’m really good at math, especially problems where the answer is “999” or I’m learning to say “no, no, no” in German.

My friend stopped by after our Costco shopping and play area adventure. Both of us had taken naps on the ride home so we were quite refreshed. Mommy and Daddy were a bit worried because the last time she visited I was very selfish and wouldn’t let her play with any of my toys. Of course, I had skipped my nap that day and was fussy. Today I surprised everyone by being not only okay with her playing with my stuff but actively sharing things with her and her parents. I found toys, books, and stuffed animals that I thought they would like and I handed them over to them. In the end they had piles of my stuff. I took sharing to the extreme. Mommy and Daddy were very proud of me and I think it made my friend happy to be welcomed and shared with. I even showed her how to play with some of my things like cars and my books. We had a great time together, but it was a short visit because both of us needed to eat dinner and go to sleep. It really felt good to share and I hope to keep it up. Mommy and Daddy suspect that this is a new caring side of me brought out by taking care of the baby at my nursery school.

Part of the reason for our trip to Costco was to show my friend the play area near there. I have been there a couple of times, but it was her first time. We spent a couple hours there and had a lot of fun! But not necessarily with each other. For the most part we went off on our own and did our own thing. Before entering the play area I made sure to hydrate so that I would be fully energized for play time!

I had fun riding a bunch of the cars. I was just in between sizes. The big one was too big for me to move on my own and the Anpanman one was a bit small for me. I still had fun shuffling along.
Don’t mind me, I’m just tidying up a bit around here.

The coin operated cars were cool. I was not to fond of the plain one. The Anpanman one was much cooler!

I spend a good amount of time playing with the train set that they had there. Not only did I like watching them go around and around, I liked connecting them and changing their tracks.

We had such a great time! I spent a lot of time with cars, but I think bulk of my time was in the ball pit. At one point I was almost completely buried by Mommy and Daddy and I loved it! I was nice to be able to switch from one toy to another and one play area to another. I was absolutely tuckered out. I quickly fell asleep on the way home.

Daddy had forgotten his Costco card in the car so we went to get it. It was in the glove box so he put me down in the passenger seat so that he could grab it. Before he knew it I had scrambled over to the driver’s seat to practice driving like we often do. Daddy told me that it was not driving practice time and that we had to meet some friends to go shopping. I didn’t want to give up my driving practice so I protested. In the end Daddy had to drag me out of the car. Naturally, I cried thinking I got cheated out of some driving practice time. But I eventually calmed down and we had a good time shopping in Costco.
I had a lot of food samples. I surprised Mommy and Daddy and ate some grapefruit. They said it would be sour, but I liked it.

After finishing my meal I started playing around with Daddy’s straw. I got a funny reaction out of him, so I kept doing it. I was laughing and laughing and then Daddy purposely didn’t react at all. I looked at him as if to say, “What? No reaction?” He was just messing with me. Who knew playing with a straw could be so much fun?

Today we went to Costco and before we started shopping we had lunch. Instead of packing a lunch I had an omurice kids’ set. Look at how much it came with! Along with the main dish of omurice, there was french fries, a chicken nugget, three wieners cut like octopuses, juice, and a lot of ketchup. You know how much I like ketchup, so it goes without saying that I ate everything up! I was even hungry enough to ask for a little snack after as well!
