Onbu onbu timber

Daddy and I were playing and when I climbed up onto his back he made up a chant. “Ombu ombu”, which means “piggy-back, piggy-back”. Then he would topple over saying, “timber”. I was having so much fun that we did it over and over and I was laughing and squealing. By the time Mommy took this video I was all tuckered out. But believe me, I had a ton of fun!

Bath bye-bye…Hello

A new little game I play I tell Daddy that I want him to bathe me and then lure him into the bathroom. Then I leave him and close the door on him. But then he keeps opening the door so I have to come back to close it. It doesn’t sound like much but it is so much fun and a barrel of laughs! After all this I ask Mommy to actually bathe me. Daddy said he feels used…but I think he had fun playing this little game.

New baby in nursery school

A new baby started at my nursery school this week. He is around one-year-old and in the same class as me because our school year starts in April and ends in March. I am early born and nearly a year older than him but we are in the same grade. He is so little and still a baby that he can do that much. He’s not walking or talking, or doing much else. I remember what that is like. When I started nursery school last year I was pretty much the same. I took it upon myself to take care of him. My teachers were pleasantly surprised to find that I gravitated toward him a lot and looked out for him. I pretty much did not leave his side. I watched out for him, played with him, and started to teach him things. I think he was happy that I was there to take care of him. It is almost like I have some big brother instincts that kicked in and I just wanted to be there for him. I have been the baby in my family for almost two years and had to be taken care of all this time. It is nice to see a baby younger than me and take care of him for a change.

When Mommy and Daddy heard about this and saw the picture of me hold the babies hand, they were so proud of me and I think their hearts melted a bit. Their little baby is now a big-brother-like little boy.

Squeezing under the table

I have taken it to be my job to buckle every available buckle in the house. Of course, you know that I buckle Daddy’s bags closed and I buckle my carrier. But I also buckle my high chair buckle, even when I’m not in it. After I finish eating I crawl underneath the table and buckle the buckles of the empty seat. But with this new furniture arrangement, it is a bit more difficult for me to get under there.

“Breakfast” cereal

After eating all my dinner I was still hungry. I asked for an orange and apple and I ate them too. But I was still hungry. I was offered some cheese and took it and ate it. But I was still hungry. I was finally given some Cheerios and I am getting so good with a spoon that I was trusted to eat the cereal in milk all by myself. Who says that it is “breakfast” cereal. It taste good at any meal during the day.

Full morning

I try to make good use of my mornings. I enjoy my breakfast and get the energy I need to face the day.

Then I help Daddy get his bag ready. Since I luck buckles so much I buckle his bags up nice and secure. I’m not sure which one he takes to work so I buckle them all up.

And then I try to get as much Daddy time in as possible. After playing with him and reading some books together I stay as close as I can to him until he has to leave for work. These pictures are from one minute before he has to leave to catch hi train.
