Shopping

I’m getting the idea of shopping now. You go to a store and grab the thing you want, right? Okay. I want this! What’s that? It’s not usually about what you want but what you need, like food items? Gotcha. Okay, so I need eight packages of Anpanman furikake for my rice.

Helping with grocery shopping

Recently I don’t like sitting still in the shopping cart and I’m getting too big and heavy for the baby carrier, so when we go grocery shopping, I’m walking around on my own. Daddy puts me to work and has me help with the shopping. He gives me things that we need and sends me to Mommy to put in the shopping cart. I’m very good and very helpful. But I must admit that there are things not on the shopping list that somehow end up in the cart, like snacks I want and foods with Anpanman on them. I honestly don’t know how they got in there.

Facing forward

I’m seated facing forward now. It was getting pretty cramped when I was facing backwards. There was nowhere for my feet to go. This is so much nicer with a lot more leg room. Also I can spot busses and cool cars coming toward us a lot faster. I get so excited and kick the seat in front of me. Daddy is not so happy about that part.

Family pictures

Recently I have been very interested in Mommy and Daddy’s wedding picture and their picture with relatives on their mini honeymoon. I recognize Grandma and Grandpa in the picture and point at it and call out “Nana” and “Papa”. I often make Mommy and Daddy take the picture off the shelf to show me. Then I point out Mama, Dada, Nana, and Papa in the picture. (I can’t quite say “Jiji”). Looking at the picture calms me.

Supposed to be napping

Daddy tried to rock me to sleep for my nap today, but I was not having it. I wasn’t fussing or crying or anything. I just wasn’t falling asleep. I was squirming and trying to get out of his grip. After quite some time he got tired and I needed a diaper change. After that he tried lying down with me in bed but then I kicked him out of the bed. Then I was out of bed. In the end I did not take a nap, but I was in a very good mood so I guess it didn’t matter.

My new chair

I found a new chair today. It was actually just a box but it was just the right size for me. It had a back rest (my diaper pail) and a desk (also my diaper pail). It was very comfortable. The only problem was that there was an odd smell around it (that would be my diaper pail).

Dinner with a friend

Mommy and Daddy’s friend came over for a visit and I surprised everyone by not crying. I didn’t exactly welcome her with open arms and ask how she was doing, but I didn’t cry. I was fine with her being around since all she did was watch me. She didn’t crowd me or anything. Well done!

We all went out to dinner and she was impressed with how much I ate. We went to the pasta restaurant with the all-you-can-eat fresh bread. I finished my kids meal and had a lot of bread. I think I had the most bread.

Yep, that’s a belly full of bread.

We had a nice day and a very nice dinner. As part of my kids’ meal I got a small toy. I got choose from a toy basket and I found an awesome to police car! I loved it instantly. I played with it all the way home. You can see in the photos above that I even brought it into the bathroom with me, but I kept it out of the water. I love my new toy car! I had such a fun time at dinner that I didn’t really want to go to sleep. It took me longer than usual to go to sleep, but I took my new toy police car to bed to keep me company and I eventually fell asleep and had a good long rest.

Bath escape

When asked who I wanted to give me my bath tonight, I said Mommy. This surprised her since I usually push her out of the bath and have Daddy bathe me. But tonight I wanted to spend time with Mommy. I showed that by running away from the bath and her. It was all in good fun. I eventually took a bath like a good little boy.

Balloons at school

We played with balloons at school today! It was so much fun! Now I remember how much fun school is. I didn’t cry or fuss this morning when being dropped off at school. I miss spending time with Mommy and Daddy, but nursery school is so much fun and we always have so many things to do with so many nice friends!

Dancing and cars

I had a lot of fun at school today. I didn’t cry when dropped off, although I looked like I was about to. At school we were singing songs with dancing. You can see me doing the dancing part in my chair. I also had a lot of fun playing with toy cars at school. I just can’t get enough of cars.
