Big belly in the bath

When I take a bath it’s pretty easy to see how much I ate at dinner. Look at that tummy. But I must burn a lot of calories very quickly because my tummy is usually a lot smaller by the next morning even if I don’t poop. I eat a lot because it takes a lot of energy to power this little boy.

Big last dinner in Japan in 2022

We pretty much cleaned out our refrigerator in preparation for our trip tomorrow, so we went out to find sustenance. We went to a restaurant that had a really generous kids’ meal. Again, I think when they make these kids’ meals they are thinking about kids in elementary school, maybe around 10 years of age, not a little 19-month-old boy.

The kids’ meal came with a hamburger steak, karaage, corn soup, french fries, vegetables, a dinner roll and some yogurt with blueberries. It was possibly the biggest kids’ meal I ever had. And I ate it all up!

The veggies were very good!

As was the bread.

Of course, I enjoyed the yogurt too!

Finishing up the meal.

All done!

Cold winter

Man, was it cold today. It snowed quite a bit and it was really windy! I find the snow very interesting, but I don’t like it when it is flying in my face and making it hard to see. And it doesn’t look anything like it does on TV when it covers the ground and you can play with it. I couldn’t make snowmen or snow angels or anything like that. It was just cold.

The snow and cold weather are rare for this time of year. It usually doesn’t snow this early in this part of Japan. We leave for Hawaii tomorrow and going from snowy weather to sunny beaches will be a big change. I’m really looking forward to it!

Christmas party

We had a Christmas party at school today! It was a lot of fun! We had fun with stories and songs. And we even got to decorate a Christmas tree. I did really well because I already had done it at home. My teachers were very impressed.

We also had a visit from Santa Claus! But I don’t want to talk about that.

Happy / Blocks

Nursery school is so much fun! I have fun playing with my classmates and teachers. We all get along really well. If my teacher asks about one of my classmates I know who they are talking about and point them out. We also copy each other a lot. If my classmate jumps up and down, so do I. If they clap their hands, so do I. What a fun place to spend the day! Let’s not forget all the books we can read and all the toys we can play with. Today I played with some blocks.

Long sleep

We’ve been so busy lately that I go to bed pretty late and that usually means that I wake up much later than usual. Daddy sometimes has to wake me up instead of waiting for me to wake up on my own. It is a bit of a rush in the morning but we want me to get as much sleep as possible. After all, I’m a growing boy and I need my rest.

Opening Christmas gifts early

Since we won’t be here for Christmas, we decided to celebrate a little bit early at home. So I got to open one gift here in Japan. It was a big one form Mommy and Daddy! I loved it! It was exactly what I wanted. I had so much fun playing with my gift! Then Mommy and Daddy explained that my gift was inside and then I had to unwrap it. They should have told me that in the first place.

I got a car garage! I was so happy! I’ve been getting so many cars from my Hot Wheels calendar and they have been needing a home.
