Not ready for bed

Recently I have been quite disagreeable when it comes to bedtime. I’ve been having too much fun during the day with Mommy and Daddy and I don’t want the day to end. As bedtime approaches I get very sad and start to avoid the steps of my bedtime routine. I try to avoid bath time, I ignore Mommy and Daddy, I pull out all kinds of books and toys, I don’t want to brush my teeth, and things like that to delay my bedtime. In the end I go to bed alright and can fall asleep, but it is quite a battle these days. I know that tomorrow is another day that will be filled with good things, but I just don’t want this day that was filled with good things to end.

Fallen leaves in the park

It was a very pleasant day for a visit to the park. Now that the cold weather is starting to settle in, there was a lot of fallen leaves which added to the scenery and the fun.

At one point I wanted something but couldn’t have it, so I threw a mini tantrum.

It was over quite quickly because there was still so much for me to do.

Saturday Morning

Good morning! I’m just enjoying my breakfast before I start my day.

After breakfast this morning I sat in my chair and pulled up the table and started to read my books. I was very good and just sat there with my books for a while. Daddy was doing the dishes so I was waiting patiently. But there were some pages that I wanted to share with him so I would walk over and show him the page. I didn’t want him to miss out.

Getting dressed is not normally fun, but Daddy makes it interesting. This morning we had a secret conversation in our cone of silence.

Fire engine meal

The restaurant that we went to tonight had all-you-can-eat fresh bread and I really took advantage of that. I had three pieces of bread, one regular and two raisin rolls. They were delicious. And I also ate my kids meal. It was so cool! It came in a fire engine!

First I ate up all the corn and most of the rice. Then I ate the jelly dessert. I handed the containers over to Daddy and then forced a spoon into his hand. I made it quite obvious that I was going to have dessert today.

After dessert I was still hungry and tackled the hamburger steak. It was really good and huge! I ate nearly all of it!

I even had a couple of cups of corn soup too! Mommy and Daddy were amazed at how much I could eat! But they were happy that I enjoyed my meal as much as they did.

We had a great dinner together to celebrate Mommy and Daddy’s 42-monthiversary.

Don’t want to go to bed

Recently I don’t like going to bed. I had been really good about it for a very long time and went along with my bedtime routine without complaint. These past few days I have been crying before bath because I know it is the first step of my bedtime routine and I don’t want to go to bed. I want to stay up with and spend time with Mommy and Daddy. So even after I finish putting on my pajamas and brush my teeth I try to find any way to stay awake. So I bring book after book after book to Mommy and Daddy to read to me. When it is finally time to go to bed I start crying again. But Mommy and Daddy somehow manage to get me safely into my crib and then I’m usually asleep within minutes. So although I don’t want to go to bed, I can still get a good night’s sleep.

Merry-go-round music box

Daddy showed me a merry-go-round music box, and I thought it was really cool. I liked how the horses went around in a circle and I liked the song. It was very interesting so I made Daddy turn it around again and again.

This is not the first time I’ve seen the merry-go-round. Daddy showed it to me the other day and it was pretty much the same thing. I made him turn it on over and over again.
