We had a nice walk today, but there were only three of us because our classmates were either at home sick or taking it easy back at school. While we were on our walk our classmate was getting sleepy so I stroked her head to help her get comfortable.

Since I’ve had a stuffed nose recently, Daddy has had suck the mucus out of my nose before I go to school. It is pretty hard with me struggling so much, but he manages to use some gentle grappling/jujitsu techniques to hold me still enough to clean my nose. This tiny little sucker sure can get a lot of mucus out. Today it actually overflowed a big with mucus forming a bubble at the top. I did not like the process, but I did like the clear breathing and the apple juice reward after.

It is hard to believe that I could fall asleep with all these lights around. But I had a very fun long day with Mommy and Obachan and we played a lot. I also just had dinner so I was feeling pretty comfortable. I actually was having a pretty good time, but then I just got tired.

Today was a national holiday, so Mommy and I didn’t have school. We spent the day at home but had a visit from Obachan. I was so happy to see her! She is my buddy!

As soon as I saw her I went straight to her and gave her a big hug! Then I started bringing her some of my toys and books. I wanted her to play with me right away. She barely had time to put her stuff down. That seemed to be fine with her. She was very happy to see me too.

I surprised Mommy today by climbing up onto the piano bench, turning own the piano, and starting to play all on my own. It has been a very long time since I last played the piano, but I think I did pretty good. I think I’ll be revisiting it more and more from now on.

Even though we go to the park nearly every day, I always enjoy it. It is just nice to be outside!

Every so often when playing I will wander off and Daddy usually finds me hanging out near the fridge. It is a comfy little corner and I know there is food in the fridge so I wait around hoping that some food will just fall out.

Tonight for dinner I ate udon and did really well with my fork. But it is slow going so I much prefer eating with my hands.

On our walk we went to the Prefectural Office and there was a sumo exhibit up. It was pretty interesting.

Back at school we practice giving things by passing a balloon around and saying “Dozo”. Well, we didn’t really say it but our teachers taught us how. We’ll pick it up soon.

Recently I’ve been slipping in a little surprises, gifts if you will, into Mommy and Daddy’s work bags. I know they work really hard so I want to let them know that I appreciate them and that I’m thinking about them. Today I gave Daddy one of my favorite books and one of my toy cars. I think he’ll enjoy them at work.

There was a new type of roll at Costco, so we figured to give it a try. I quite liked it! It was labeled as corn bread, but it wasn’t really corn bread according to Daddy. It was more of a English muffin textured dinner roll that had corn in it. Either way, it was pretty tasty!

Just a quick visit to the park near our house. Daddy popped me up on his shoulders and a couple of minutes later we were there. Then it was straight to the tall slide.

I learn by observing and sometimes it just happens unconsciously. Daddy was singing to me and he noticed that my tongue would move when he sang “l” sounds. I was not aware that I was watching and mimicking him. That’s a good way to learn how to speak more words. Keep those songs coming!

I got to try my first gacha gacha (capsule) machine today! There was a whole section of them at the shopping center and we found a few that I liked. So Mommy and Daddy decided to treat me to one capsule. I chose the gacha gacha machine that had Anpanman and friends cars, two of my favorite things. I was very excited to try it out, and even though it was my first time I had a general idea of what to do.

I was so excited to see what I got. I really wanted Anpanman, but would be happy with anything. I ended up with a Dokinchan car and was very happy!

One of my favorite things to watch when we have some quiet time is train videos. No, not animated kids’ trains like Thomas. Just straight up real trains. That’s it. There are surprisingly a lot of videos on YouTube of footage of trains just doing their train thing. And I love watching it! I get so excited and drawn into it. I even use my toy train to play along with the video.
Mommy made up another dinner song for me and I really liked it. I was actually laughing like crazy but once the camera came out I toned down my reaction a lot. I had to play it cool for the camera.

Daddy was making fun of me how sometimes I can be very confusing. Sometimes I say no and mean yes, sometimes I say yes and mean no, Sometimes I just change my mind a lot.
