Color markers

I did some drawing with color markers for the first time today. I was very precise and delicate with my drawing. A lot of kids just scribble a mess, but I was quite conservative with my coloring. I had a plan to make use of the white space and create a minimalist impression. I think I did quite well for my first time using color markers.

Mommy and Daddy thought that I might want to color with some crayons as well, but I just liked dumping them out and putting them back in the box. I just wasn’t in a crayon mood today.

Copying Daddy

I’m learning more and more every day because I’m getting better and better at mimicking and copying. That is one of the reasons that I’m picking up a lot more sign language words. But copying is not only about learning but also about fun. Daddy played a copying game with me and I think I impressed Mommy and Daddy a lot with how well I could copy his poses. This was the first time that we played this game and the first time that Daddy showed me these poses, but I got them on the first try.

Sticker book

I finally played with my sticker book today. I was so excited because the stickers were different vehicles which I love. It was my first time playing with stickers and I think I did pretty good. I actually knew that the sticky side goes down. Sure, a lot of my airplanes looked like they were crashing and the cars and trains were running upside down, but still I thought I did well. It was a lot of fun!

Appetite not spoiled

Check the previous post to understand why the title is “Appetite is not spoiled”. I was so happy to eat udon at a restaurant and easy finished an adult-sized portion. It was actually not enough so I needed a bit more food to fill me up. Mommy and Daddy gave me some of there fried eggplant. It was very tasty!

Mommy’s home…but went to change

I know I look really sad in these pictures, but just a second ago I was so happy! Mommy came home from work and I was so happy to see her after missing her the whole day! I was full of smiles! Then she went to change out of her work clothes, which made me really really sad. By looking at my reaction you would have thought that she had gone to the North Pole for a year or something, not just into the other room for a few seconds. I may have overreacted but that just shows how much I missed her.

Gu choki pa (rock scissor paper) song

There is a children’s song in Japan where you make your hands into rock, scissors, or paper and then make and mimic something. Daddy was singing and entertaining me while I ate my snack but when he tried to video my reaction I played it cool and just appeared to tolerate him. I kind of left him hanging. But I did enjoy the song and I thought it was so fun and entertaining, but you won’t be able to see it on video.

Trying to microwave my book

I’ve been exploring the kitchen a lot lately. There is so much to see and so many things that open and have buttons. I really find the microwave fascinating! There are so many buttons and the microwave makes all kinds of interesting noises. I’ve seen Mommy and Daddy use it before, so I think I can manage this. Open the microwave door, put the thing inside, and then push some buttons. That is exactly how I almost microwaved my book before Daddy stopped me. Aw nuts.

Diaper pail play

For some reason during my chat with Grandma and Grandpa, I decided to start playing with my diaper pail. I’m not really sure why. It seemed interesting at the time, but now that I think about it, it is kind of icky. I pushed the pail around, toppled it over, and climbed up to sit on it. What’s fun about that? Even I don’t know.
