Sneaking up on Mommy…shhh

You know that after my bath that I like to turn off all the lights. I also like sneaking up on Mommy. Daddy and I started doing this a while back. Daddy held up his finger to his mouth and said “shhh” and I instantly copied him. Now we do it every night after my bath. At the beginning I would just copy Daddy, but I quickly started taking the lead and saying “shhh” on my own right after I turned off the lights.

Finger painting

I did a bit of finger painting today. It was interesting and I think I did a pretty good job, but it won’t be my favorite thing to do. I’m a bit of a clean freak and don’t like getting things on my hands. As I was finger painting, I was also trying to get the paint off my fingers. We’ll see, maybe my artistic expression will overcome my clean nature.

Food sampling at Costco

I’ve always been impressed by all the different products they have at Costco and how big it is there. I hear that a lot of things are quite cheap there too. But now they are just giving away food! If you walk around enough you’ll find these little corners where they just give you food to try and you don’t have to pay anything! (Grandma and Grandpa call this the senior buffet.). If I didn’t like Costco before, I definitely like it now.

Can we go for another round of sampling?

All-you-can-eat restaurant

By the time we finished shopping it was pretty late so we decided to eat at the shopping mall. There was an all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu restaurant that Mommy and Daddy went to before when Mommy was pregnant with me. Seeing how much I eat nowadays it made sense to go there for dinner. I instantly fell in love with the idea of all-you-can-eat restaurants.

Did I mention that it was also all-you-can-drink as well? I had three cups of juice (that I suspect was watered down a bunch). I was having a grand old time eating and drinking my fill. Mommy and Daddy were impressed by how well behaved I was. (They new I would eat well.)

The restaurant had so much food that they had to get extra help to serve all the customers so they used these serving robots that would bring your food to you. I thought it was so neat. I appreciated all the work they did to keep me fed and made sure to wave every time they passed by.

Crane game

I had my first try at a crane game today. Actually, it was more of a shovel game, but the concept is the same. You try to get a prize! I wanted these little toy cars from this one crane game so I gave it a go. As you might have guessed, I did not do very well. I didn’t get any prizes.

But I was really upset about not getting a prize so I had Daddy give it a try. And guess what. He got a little toy car for me! I was so happy that I just had to play with it right away. So that’s what I did. I played with my toy car the way I always play with my toy cars.

Not sharing

We were shopping and I got hungry, so Daddy took me to the food court so that I could eat my snack. It was some tasty banana pancakes that Mommy made. I really liked these pancakes. The way I ate them made them look so delicious that Daddy wanted to try a piece. But I wouldn’t share with him. I feel bad because Daddy often shares food with me, but if he wanted a snack he should have brought his own.

Anpanman games on iPad

After our FaceTime chat with Grandma and Grandpa I spotted a couple of Anpanman apps on the iPad. I remember that Daddy downloaded them for the long flight to Hawaii. I was too young to really understand these apps back then, but today I got really into them. Learning fun with a Andpanman theme. What’s not to like?
