I really like playing with doors. I like opening and closing them over and over. It makes Mommy and Daddy nervous though. It looks like I’m going to get my fingers pinched, but I’m very good at getting them out of danger at the last second. They are relieved about that, but still can’t figure out why I’m so interested in doors.
Hungry morning

I was very hungry this morning and ate up all my breakfast! It was a very big breakfast of eggs, rice, and sausages. Mommy and Daddy had the same thing but the grownup sausages instead my baby sausages. But even after eating all my breakfast I was still hungry and I spied Daddy’s natto. I like natto. I least I thought I did. I tried it and I did not like it. It was slimier and smellier than I remember. It is probably because when Mommy served it to me before, she would boil it first to get rid of the slimy and smelly features. Natto, no thank you.
Every last drop of udon soup

You know that I really like udon, right? Well, I had udon for lunch today and not only liked the noodles, but also the soup! Good to the last drop!
Another kids’ meal

You know, I’m starting to think that these kids’ meals are not meant for 1.5 year olds. The servings are quite large and the food is kind of geared toward elementary school kids with french fries as the big draw. Unfortunately, I’m not yet a big fan of french fries, but I’m loving the big servings and the toy that comes with the meal. Not to mention the free refills on juice! I’m loving the juice!
Catchy commercial
As you know, I like music a lot. I like all kinds of music, not just kiddie music. So when I hear a catchy commercial song, I get really excited and even try to do the dance if it has one.
Park: Chasing crows and climbing stairs
We went to the park and there were a bunch of crows there too. I wanted to go and say hello, but they kept running (flying) away from me. I don’t know why. I just wanted to say hi and play with them.
I spent a lot of time playing on the slide. More accurately, I spent a lot of time playing on the stairs of the slide. I wanted to climb the stairs, but I wanted to do it myself, which made Mommy worry.
Sick day: taking it easy
Bag thief

What can I say? I wanted Mommy’s bag in the kitchen. I wasn’t got to take anything. Well, not permanently. I was going to put it back.
Checking the locks

I’m checking the locks…for security. Yes, that’s it. Not because I want to figure out how to go out on my own. No, I know better than that.
Back from the doctor’s

So those red dots are just a typical ailment that babies get. No cause for alarm, but just to be safe I’ll be staying home today. After all, I did go home early twice this week because of a fever. Maybe I just need to take it easy and get some rest.
Wiping the table

Surprised to see me home at this time? Well, I actually already went to school and came back. I developed these red spots on my face that my nursery school wanted to have checked out. We wouldn’t want me to spread any kind of illness among my classmates. So, Daddy brought me back home and now we are just waiting for Mommy to come home to watch me. Daddy had to leave work early the past two days and will be showing up late today, so we don’t want him to miss any more work. And Mommy’s schedule was such that today was an okay day for her to take off work and take me to the doctor.
While we waited I had a small snack and wiped the table after I was done. I like to keep things clean.
Just waiting to go to school

Often I am so eager to go to school that I point to the door and tell Daddy that I’m ready to go. Other times I just accept that there is a certain time when we leave for school and we won’t leave until then. At those times I just busy myself until it is time to go.
Hello, I’m Mason encore
Talking to myself after dinner
Park walk and bus spotting

Going to the park with my school involves two very fun activities: walking and bus spotting. I even have a group of friends to join me. The park is also very close to the station so that means that buses are in no short supply.
Ready for school

I’m all dressed and ready for school, but I’m just waiting on Daddy to get my stuff together. Getting ready in the morning sure is hard work.
Cleaning up Cheerios

Sometimes after I eat my breakfast I’m still hungry. So if I ask nicely, Daddy will give me some Cheerios, (without the milk). Of course, some spills happen in life, but I clean up after myself.
Dinner entertainment: Hello, I’m Mason

I was trying to be a good boy and eat my dinner properly and cleanly, but Daddy had to go and make me laugh like crazy. Well, I kind of started it. I was pointing at some photographs of me on the table and I wanted to see them. Daddy showed them to me, but then he went and made a song and dance out of the photos and it completely cracked me up! It’s a easy enough song to remember. It is called, Hello, I’m Mason!
Now that’s what I call dinner entertainment!

Hug (“gyu”)
I must admit, I give really good hugs. Especially the bigger I get, the more my arms can wrap around the receiver of my hug. Love, love and “gyu”!
Walk in the park

What a nice day for a walk in the park with my classmates and teachers!
