Large envelope

Daddy was messing around with a large envelope that came in the mail. We can have fun with almost any object. I would put toys it in and Daddy would dump it out. He also tried to put it on my head like a hat but it wouldn’t fit. It wasn’t that large of an envelope. But we have a general idea of what I would look like in a chef’s hat or as the pope.

Walk in the stroller

We had another nice walk at school today. Have you noticed that I’m often in the stroller and not the buggy anymore? In fact, I can’t remember the last time I rode in the buggy. The teacher’s haven’t told me anything directly, but I wonder if I’m in the stroller because I’m too big for the buggy? Is it one of those things where if I side on one side then two lighter kids have to sit opposite me to balance it out? I won’t mind if it is that. As long as it is not one of those “does not play well with others” kind of things. It can’t me. I don’t bite or hit or cause any trouble. I think I’m quite well behaved. I wonder what it is.

Udon

After seeing how much I liked udon at dinner the other night, Mommy and Daddy are now serving it to me more often. I even have it for breakfast! You might be able to tell from my bib that I’m not a huge fan of the wakame (seaweed). I delicately push it aside in my bowl or take it out of my mouth and wipe it on my bib. But the udon itself is a new favorite!

On a side note, I’ve been very regular lately. Often having my bowel movement in the middle of breakfast or right after. I know it is not necessarily a topic you wanted to hear about, but it just kind of found its way into the video above, so I thought I’d mention it.

Acorns

There is always so much to see on our walks at school. Today we found a lot of acorns on the ground. I though they were pretty cool, and when my teacher showed me the bag of all the acorns we had collected I got really excited! So many acorns just lying around for us! Wow!

Bus spotting

Our walk to school in the morning is filled with one of my favorite hobbies: bus spotting. Every time I see a bus, no matter how far down the street it is, I wave to it. Even as it is driving away, I keep waving until it is out of sight. Every so often the bus driver will see me waving and wave back. That makes me happy and I hope it makes the bus driver happy too. On a good day I will see about six buses on my way to school. Sometimes they come on after another and my arms are waving like crazy. It is nice to look forward to bus spotting every morning!

Morning off to a rough start

I thought the morning was going to be okay but when I finished my breakfast I realized that I was still hungry, so that put me in a bit of a mood.

And once I’m in a mood I get upset about everything. I didn’t want to get changed and was nearly throwing a fit when Daddy put my shirt on. He kindly appeased me and let me go about my morning with only my undershirt, which calmed me down a bit. And when it was time to go to school I obliged and put my shirt on without complaint.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Today was Mommy’s birthday, so Daddy and I surprised her with some birthday cake and we also got her some birthday presents! She seemed really happy about it!

We sang happy birthday to her, and I tried to help blow out the candles but I still haven’t figured out how to do it. Mommy took care of it herself.

I did, however, help take care of the birthday cake! This was not a baby birthday cake like the one I had for my birthday, but a REAL cake! It was delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I had a great Mommy’s birthday and can’t wait for the next one!

Walking and riding at school

When we got to school today there were other kids being dropped off so we had to wait a bit. I had fun toddling around and looking at the pictures and books that they have in the waiting room. After my weekend of so much walking, I was eager to show off my walking skills to my teachers and classmates.

In the end, I did just a bit of walking but a lot of playing, like riding in my cardboard box car at school!

Early celebration dinner

Who wants to go out to dinner to have an early celebration for Mommy’s birthday? I do, I do!

We went to yakiniku to celebrate Mommy’s birthday. It is a bit early, but it would be difficult to go out on a weekday because Mommy and Daddy get home a bit late after work. I was all for it! Mommy and Daddy seemed to really enjoy their yakiniku. They were grilling up a storm!

I was happy with my udon! Apparently I really really like udon! I had it before, but never ate it so eagerly before. I rediscovered how yummy it is!

We had a fun time!

We were all having such a good time that I started goofing around. I started head shaking just for the fun of it. It looks funny at first, but in slow motion it looks a bit scary. Yikes!

What a great dinner! I ate a lot, and so did Mommy and Daddy! Good food and good conversation equals good fun!

We had such a great time at dinner that even the walk home was fun!

Visiting Baaba

We visited Baaba today and ended up having a great time! I started off crying, still not familiar with Jiiji and Baaba’s house. It took me a bit to calm down and remember that I had been here several times before and had fun here before. Once I reacquainted myself with the house there was no stopping me. I had so much fun!

I first started by exploring the room we were in and making new discoveries.

Then I got a little braver and started to peek outside the room to see what else was there.

Then once I started to explore, I went all over the place…many times. I toddle all around and back and forth. Baaba and Obachan were very impressed by my walking skills and shocked at how much I grew up.

We had fun catching up, playing, exploring, discovering, and snacking as well. Baaba prepared some fruits for me which I enjoyed a lot. Overall it was really nice just to spend time together.

It was a great visit and I can’t wait until our next one!
