Home and parks

We had a quiet and relaxing morning at home. As usual, I ate a hearty breakfast and watch a bunch of my favorite TV shows. Then I played with my toys and had some iPad time.

After lunch I wanted to go to the park. It has been getting colder, so I got to wear my new jacket. Pretty cool, yeah?

At the park we did a lot of running around.

I like this parks pathway because Daddy and I can pretend it is train tracks or roads as we run around and around.

I also did some rocking…

…and some posing.

Then back to rocking with Daddy.

On our way home I said that I wanted to go to the other park near our place, so we stopped by home to pick up some toys and headed to another park.

My excavator and dump truck did some work in the sandbox, and then I watered a lot of plants with my fire hose.

After that we relaxed at home.

After dinner I got to eat a milky fruit bar for dessert.

And then we had our usual bedtime routine. During book time I was feeling in need of some contact so I made Daddy comfort me by stroking my leg.

It was a very fun-filled day.

Day of good food

We visited a new nursery school today. My school only goes up until 3-years-old, so for next year I have to find a new school. We have been visiting several different schools in the area and they all look promising. One of the first questions we ask each school is are seconds provided at lunch.

Speaking of lunch, we stopped by a restaurant for lunch on our way home from the school visit. It was very yummy and I ate a regular-sized meal since they didn’t have a kids’ meal. I’m usually okay with that. I found out that while I like the freebie toys I get with meals, I’d rather have more food.

After dinner, I had a special dessert that I thought was great. It was transcending. But I had eaten such a good dinner that I didn’t have much room left in my tummy, so I had to stop and planned to finish it tomorrow.

Special Friday Dinner

Every so often, I ask Mommy if we can go to the aji-fry (fried horse mackerel) restaurant. It is on our way home from school and the teishoku (set meal) is both delicious and reasonably priced. They don’t have a kids’ meal, but I have no problem eating a standard adult-sized teishoku, while picking some food from Mommy’s teishoku as well.

Leaf collector and park

I found another nice leaf for my leaf collection on our walk to school today. Whatever I find on our walk to school or during our school walk, I leave in my cubby hole. Then at the end of the week I take the new additions to my collection home. My collection is not only restricted to leaves. I have acorns, rocks, and other interesting finds.

At the park, my classmates and I had fun running around and chasing our teachers. We also played in the sand.

Cafe

After the curry festival, I wasn’t quite ready to go home. I wanted to go to Tenjin. So we hopped back on the subway and went to Tenjin. There is not much for kids there in the city, but we walked around a bit and visited some shops. Before we knew it it was snack time. So we went in search of a kid-friendly cafe, which was a little hard. When we found one I was very excited. I was all smiles! The smoothie was very good and it was a nice little outing after the curry festival.

Curry festival

Mommy found a curry festival that she wanted to check out, so we hopped on the subway and went.

There were a lot of people and lines were pretty long. Luckily the line for karaage wasn’t to bad so I got to eat quite quickly. The curry was good too, but I mainly ate karaage, french fries and rice.

Since the curry festival was at a park, we took advantage of it and ran around a bit. It was much bigger than the parks in our neighborhood so I had a lot of fun exploring!

Cleaning, Driving, Striding

Mommy was vacuuming this morning and I wanted to get in on the fun. I cleaned a bit, but inspected the vacuum a lot. I found it to be a fascinating machine.

I told Daddy that I wanted to practice driving, so we went outside. After some driving practice Daddy suggested that I practice my Strider as well. He often asks me if I want to practice my Strider, but I usually say no. Today I gave it a go. I didn’t fall down, so that was good. But more than striding and rolling, I was more walking astride a Strider. I think I need more practice.

Parfait

I couldn’t decide what I wanted for breakfast so Daddy made parfaits for Mommy and me. What a treat! We had a lot of fruits and some leftover pancakes so Daddy whipped up some cream that was leftover from the quiche last night and voila, parfaits!

I really liked the whipped cream!

There are times when I don’t play with a toy for a while but when I come back around to it, I’m really into it. Today I was really into my train set. Daddy and I played lot with it. We combined other Legos with it and made some interesting situations and stories.

We also played outside and I drove my Mercedes around. Then I decided it was an ice cream truck and delivered ice cream to Daddy and then toys. I even delivered beer-flavored ice cream just for him. Daddy was very impressed by my service and flavor customization catering to my patrons.

I wanted to go for a walk so we head down the street and ended up at 7-Eleven. We picked up a smoothie for Mommy and me, but while we were there we found a Tomica book. I didn’t ask for it, but Daddy bought it for me as a treat. I was so happy! I was all smiles on the way home and couldn’t wait to show it to Mommy.

I went through every page thoroughly and just loved my new book! I sat patiently and read it while Daddy cooked quiche for dinner. It was my first time eating it and I quite liked it. It was cut into wedges so I ate it like a pizza. Then it was back to playing with my Lego train set.

Since I had read through my book from cover to cover several times I decided to read one of Daddy’s book, which came with beer sampler that we bought at Costco. I preferred my Tomica book.

My Saturday

After eating a hearty breakfast and watching my shows, I play a bunch inside. But since it was a nice day outside I went for a drive.

We headed to a new restaurant to try some Nepalese food, but it was closed. So we went to a different restaurant, also Nepalese, for some curry and naan. The curry was okay, but not my favorite. The naan was delicious! I had cheese naan and ate a bunch! I really enjoyed trying this new food and thanked Mommy and Daddy for taking me to this new restaurant. I hope we can try that other restaurant at some time.

I was in a good mood with a full belly and enjoyed our walk home, singing to myself along the way.

Back at home I had fun playing with my toys. But I also had fun playing with Mommy’s watch. I was messing around with it and found the Memoji settings. I liked making the faces move. I hope I didn’t mess up any settings.

Of course my day was full of a lot of cars and books, as it usually is on the weekends. It was a fun restful no-school day!

Dry diaper news

I just wanted to let you know that I woke up with a dry diaper every day this week. I’m getting better at holding in my pee until I use the potty. I’ve been very good with pooping in the potty for several months now and I’m getting more consistent with peeing in the potty as well. I’m still not eager to switch from diapers to underpants, but if I did, I think I would be okay. We’ll take it slow and stick with the (dry) diapers for now.

Slow morning start

I had a slow start this morning. Even though I woke up without trouble, I didn’t really wake up. In the end I ate breakfast and got ready in time, but it was a slow process.

We had a birthday party as school for couple of classmates today. We celebrated with them and sang happy birthday to them.

It was a sunny day today and we were very happy to be able to go to the park after a couple of rainy days. We ran around a lot and enjoyed the warm sun.

After fun-filled day at school I ate a great dinner and had a lot of fun all they way up until bedtime.
