I like discovering new things. Like the sound my plastic fork and spoon make when they hit the floor. Really interesting sound! I just had to test it out again and again.
Doggy’s new head came off
I think it is funny when my bobble-head doggy’s head comes off. It is even more hilarious when he gets an over-sized alternative head and that comes off.

Peekaboo with Daddy’s shirt

I love playing peekaboo! I do it with whatever is available to me: blankets, cushions, furniture, and even Daddy’s shirts.
Eagerly waiting to talk to Grandma and Grandpa

This is what I look like when waiting for our FaceTime call to Grandma and Grandpa to connect. When Daddy tells me we are going to chat with Grandma and Grandpa and sets up the iPad, I plop myself down in front of it and can’t wait to see them.
Earphones

I tested out some earphones today. These were the free ones we got on the airplane. I was curious about them so Daddy showed me how to use them. I didn’t really understand the point. It is much easier to listen to things through a speaker instead of a tiny thing you have to shove into your ear. I’m glad I tried it out, but it is not really my thing.
Not happy dinner
I was not happy at dinner tonight. I don’t really know why. It was confusing, frustrating, and unfortunate. It was most likely the inability to clearly communicate my feelings and wishes that causes these kinds of situations. We all have times like this, I’m sure. Of course, I was not like this the whole time. It was just a brief mood swing. I was much better after dinner and back to my normal self quite quickly.
Bottle shaking and monkey sounds
The bottle shaking, well, that’s just fun. The monkey sounds, well, that’s something that Grandma taught me in Hawaii! She read this book to me and would make monkey sounds on this page all the time. So I started making the monkey sounds on my own whenever I got to this page. And now, even back in Japan, I still make the monkey sounds when I get to this page.
Handkerchief peekaboo
Japanese pear and annin tofu
I had a really tasty snack today! First I had some Japanese pear, which was crunchy and sweet. Then I had some annin tofu with fruit in it, which was very sweet and refreshing. Yum yum!
Anpanman search book

While in 7-Eleven we found a bunch of Anpanman goods. One was a Anpanman fan that I included in the last blog post. The other thing was a Anpanman search book. When we looked at it in 7-Eleven I instantly loved it. I also understood the concept right away in immediately started to point to Anpanman on every page. I thought I did pretty good overall, but the pages where there are a lot of characters from Anpanman’s show I get confused. Even when I don’t get it right, I really enjoy this book!
Walk with Daddy

I went for a walk with Daddy today. I had fun spotting all the buses on the road. I also surprised Daddy by spotting several airplanes flying overhead. I could hear the engines and then I looked up and spotted them and pointed them out. Impressive if I do say so myself.
On the way back home we stopped by 7-Eleven to pick up some snacks for Mommy and we coincidentally found some awesome things for me too! One of those things was an Anpanman fan which I had been wanting for a while. I was very happy to get it!

Stay tuned for the other thing that I got!
Excited about elephants
Daddy was reading my book to me and started saying “elephant” in such a way that I though it was so funny and exciting. Daddy always manages to find a way to tickle my funny bone. “Elephant!”
Playing with a door between
Daddy and I are always discovering new ways to play. We found a way to play even with a door between us. Well, that was kind of my fault because I wouldn’t move out of the way to let Daddy in. So we just ended up passing a container cover back and forth under the door.
Hello? Yes, this is Mason speaking

Opening the door

I’ve been able to open doors for a while now. I think this is the first time we got it on video. If I stretch as far as I can, I can just grab the door handle. The rest is easy!
Early start on some chores

Here I am trying to help out around the house and empty the laundry basket only to find out that the clothes I took out were all folded. Oh well. It was the thought that counts.
Quick trip to Costco

After coming back to Japan from Hawaii we realized we need to resupply so we made a quick trip to Costco after school/work.
Big steps at school

I’ve been impressing my teachers at school with all the walking I’ve been doing. They were really surprised to see the progress I made while in Hawaii! I’m been taking 8-9 steps at a time and showing off to everyone!
Funny TV shows
I like my kids’ shows! There is great music, interesting characters and a lot of funny scenes! Oh so funny!
