I still love opening and closing the sliding door. I can do it for a very long time without getting bored. For some reason I find it very interesting. Instead of boring you with a 15 minute video, here is a timelapse video of one of my sliding door opening and closing sessions.

Nice lazy Sunday morning. Time to chill.
I was hiding behind a curtain (actually having a private bowel movement) when I heard the doorbell rang. Obachan arrived! I rushed to greet her and then escorted her into the living room. What a gracious host I am.

We started using a new brushing teeth timer. It is cuter and more visual, which is good because I do not understand numbers. The video shows a monster’s mouth with foam being brushed away. It worked and I gave up the toothbrush at the right time and let Daddy finish my brushing. So the timer works!
But I still do not like the bedtime call that follows!

Daddy brought out some decorative masking tape for me to play with. I started by pulling off the pieces that Daddy stuck on me and then tried to put it on Mommy. It was harder than I thought and I just ended up dropping pieces down the back of her shirt. Mommy got her revenge by sticking a couple of pieces on my face as eyebrows. I put one on my nose and a couple on my head. We played a little more with the masking tape, putting it on my cars and other toys. I was really good at peeling it off and not bad at putting it on things if I was lucky enough to get the sticky side down. Then we had to stop playing so that I could eat dinner. The tape was left on my face until bedtime.

A new full body workout: chair lifting. You engage your legs, core, back, shoulders and triceps with this full body lift and press.

No, I’m not playing with the bath door, I’m studying it. I mean, who can just sit there and play with a bath door. It has to be study…but it is a bit fun too!

There was another naked baby escape attempt, but it was thwarted by a vigilant guard at the gate. The baby was apprehended and returned to the authorities to be clothed.

I played with oobleck for the firs time today! I thought it was very interesting, but I was hesitant to touch it much. So instead I had a lot of fun splashing water.

I eventually came around to playing playing with oobleck and quite liked it. Such an interesting substance. I found it so interesting that I tried to eat it…once, and never again. Ick!

Just practicing eating with a fork. I did surprisingly well with gyoza. Daddy had to help me stab the food, but I got it in my mouth without much trouble.

It was too hot to go outside today, so we had indoor play today. We all had a great time playing with newspaper! It’s was like having permission to be destructive.
Today on the way to school I looked up. And boy was I surprised. The sky was so blue and vast! I never really noticed the sky before. It was so intriguing. Daddy noticed me looking up and started looking up today. I thought it was funny that Daddy was copying me so I laughed a lot.

I’m still breaking in my shoes. I don’t walk a lot with them on, but I’m getting used to the idea of having them on and they don’t inhibit my daily activity very much. I would still prefer to be barefoot, but I’m okay with having them on.

I woke up really early this morning, just after 5. I think I woke up because I was hungry. Daddy tried to get me back to sleep but I kept asking for food. Even when he tried to rock me back to sleep I wasn’t able to go back to sleep. So he decided to just feed me breakfast. One of us was fine with the start of our early morning.

Whereas many kids need a brushing teeth timer to make sure they brush their teeth long enough, I need one to make sure I stop. Before I wouldn’t stop brushing my teeth and would hand over my toothbrush, mainly because it meant that it was time for bed. But now with the time, I can’t really argue. When the time is up, it’s up. I hand over my toothbrush, but I’m not happy about it.
I had a new racing challenger today! Mommy tried her best, but she just wasn’t fast enough to beat me. My start off the blocks is just too fast!
