Okay, so not much food gets to my mouth via the fork, but I am eating an have the fork in my possession, so technically I am “eating with a fork”. Or at least I’m working on it.
I’ve been surprising my teachers a lot recently by standing on my own at different moments during the day. They can tell that I’ll be walking on my own any day now. They see that I’m growing a lot! Not only developmentally but also in size. Considering how much I eat, I should hope so. My teachers often note in my school diary that I have seconds of all the food at lunch, and these are decent sized meals to begin with. It is just my way of showing my compliments to the chef.

We played with some water beads at school today. They were very interesting. I’m not sure whether or not I like the feel of them, but it definitely a new sensation.

I’m fed, dressed, and I played quite a bit this morning. Now it is my chilling time. Just waiting until it is time to go to school.

Just gradually breaking in my shoes. They are light and a good fit, so I don’t mind them on my feet so much.

I’m still not quite confident standing. I’m actually very hesitant about it…on the floor that is. For some reason I decided to stand up on my chair. (What does “Oh Captain, my captain” mean? Daddy mentioned that in passing). Anyway, not yet a master at standing but I decide to elevate myself and do it, just to make it a little more dangerous. Mommy and Daddy were very impressed…and worried.

At first, I really didn’t use my little chair very often. I was too busy moving around to just sit down in it. But these days I actually set it up in front of the TV and plop myself in it. It is now my TV chair.

Food wrapped in edible wrappers! Amazing! And tasty! What will they think of next? Gyoza is definitely on my like list. I ate four of them in one sitting! Not bad for a baby.

We had water play day at nursery school today. You would think I would have a great time, but I did not. I cried the moment we started. I guess I’m too used to playing in my wading pool that this was not what I expected. I think I would feel much more comfortable in my swimsuit. Maybe next time I’ll be more into it.

Every so often we’ll catch brief moments of me standing. I’m still hesitant to do it, but sometimes I accidentally stand and then I don’t know what to do.
Daddy put my new shoes on my doggy and I thought it was really funny. I doggy wearing shoes. That’s hilarious! What’s even funnier? A doggy dancing in shoes!

I was enjoying my dinner and in such a good mood that I was just cracking up about everything. At one point I randomly made high note sound with my voice and thought it was so funny! So did Mommy and Daddy! We ended up laughing a lot when I repeated that high note! I’m such a goofball sometimes.

Since I have mastered eating with my fingers, we are trying to get me to use utensils more. I can eat with a spoon quite well if Mommy or Daddy load it with food for me. I’m pretty good at getting it into my mouth. We picked up a set of metal utensils for me to start using the fork to pick up food. I was so excited about Anpanman being on the utensils that I didn’t use it that much.

When we go for our walks, our teachers make sure that we are well hydrated and we all have our own mugs of drinks. It is a nice way to be sociable, taking a tour while partaking in drinks. It is like the baby version of the Pedal Pub.
