Today at school I was sitting on one of my teacher’s laps and just relaxing, then one of my classmates came over and tried to sit on her lap too. The instant he put his hand on her leg I pushed it away and scolded “Ahhh, ahhh!”, chasing him away from my teacher. Sure, she is all of our teacher, but at moment I was sitting on her lap and relaxing, so she was MY teacher. The nerve of some little boys.
Breaking in new shoes

I got some new shoes and tried them on today. They fit quite well and were nice and light. It wasn’t cumbersome or anything. Still, after some time breaking them in I couldn’t wait to get them off. Even though they are nice and comfortable shoes, I much rather be barefoot.
Chirping cicada

During our walks at school we noticed some very loud (and a little annoying) chirping. Apparently it is the cicada which come out during the summer and cause a racket! They are so loud sometimes. Since we were so interested in them, looking up at the trees whenever we heard them, our teachers tried to catch some for us. They managed to catch one, but it was a female and did not chirp. Still, we mesmerized by the creature and were not at all scared when observing it. Now we know the source of all that noise.
Pushing buttons
I like to push all kinds of buttons. I push all the buttons on my toys and try to push buttons on appliances around the house. I even press the buttons at school. I press the elevator call button and can even press the right floor button when we get inside. Then I press the doorbell as well. I love pushing buttons!
Magnet drawing board

I’ve been playing with my magnet drawing board a lot more lately. I’m getting pretty good at drawing things with the stamps and pen. But sometimes it feels like I enjoy the erasing part more and simple draw to have something to erase.
I want a snack
During my exploration of the shelves I found a tiny little package that I knew contained one of my biscuits. I begged and begged Daddy to give it to me as a snack, but he wouldn’t budge. He said that it wasn’t snack time and that I hadn’t even finished my breakfast. That’s true. I don’t like it when facts work against me.
Train exhibit

On our walk today we stopped by the prefectural office again and checked out the train exhibit again. It is still really interesting to us! There are so many cool things to see on our walks. But man is it hot these days. Must keep hydrated.

Checking myself out in the mirror

Who is that handsome boy? Or more like whose handsome eyeball do I see?

Back up on the table

I think me clearing the table and then climbing up on it is going to become a daily thing. At least until I set my heights higher and aim for the dining table.
My cot
Today at nap time at nursery school I saw that one of my classmates had crawled onto my cot, either by mistake or maybe out of fondness. Either way, I wasn’t having it. I went over to him and started pushing him off my cot saying “Ahhh, ahhh, ahhh,” letting him know that it was my cot, not his. My teachers diffused the situation and thought it was both impressive that I knew which cot was mine and cute how I got upset about it. At least I ask my classmate to leave in the politest way I knew how.
Balloons

We played with balloons at school today, both real ones and fans designed like balloons. I liked both of them. I like fans and find them to be cool and fun. I also had fun chasing the balloons around with my classmates!
Reading books
Banana

Kosshii

One of my favorite kids’ shows features a chair named Kosshii. Yes, a chair. Anyway, I like watching his TV show, possibly not realizing that I’m watching a chair while sitting in a chair.
Watermelon art project

Today we made an art project at school! We used our foot prints and finger prints to make a watermelon. It is interesting to see my footprint up close. I didn’t realize that my feet were that big!
A boy and his tomato

I picked another tomato today and I was so happy to have it! I didn’t let go of it even when getting ready for school and on the way to school. I finally relinquished it to Daddy when I was being handed off at school. He promised to take it home for me and that it would be waiting for me when I got home.
Playing in the morning

As you can see from the mess, I like to play with a lot of things in the morning. “A lot” might be an understatement. Some mornings I play with everything. I have even discovered Daddy’s Nintendo Switch and have been having fun pressing the buttons and manipulating the screen. As you can tell, mornings are very busy and fun!
All about Anpanman
The word I say the most often is “Anpanman”. He is that famous beloved Japanese kids’ cartoon character. Ever since I ate some of his endorsed curry, I’ve been a big fan. Even though I have the occasional “Mama” and “Dada” sounding utterances, the clearest word that I say, at least by intent, is “Anpanman” (although I say it “Anmanman”).
Prefectural office

We had a nice walk to the prefectural office and they had some new things on display. There were wooden toys and some food for sale. Everyone was pretty excited to see new things!

After we got back to school we played a lot indoors and then had lunch. After that we all had a nice long nap. Even I, who fights bedtime, went to sleep easily and slept deeply for more than two hours.

Ha nn ary r ma &

I tried to wish Grandma and Grandpa a happy anniversary, but I couldn’t contain my excitement and turned the message from “Happy anniversary Grandma & Grandpa!” into “Ha nn ary r ma &” and then eventually to nothing. Even if the letters aren’t there, the feeling is! Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa! Have a great and special day!
