I’ve started to take a seat during my baths recently. I realized that standing throughout can be tiring and sitting reminds me of playing in my wading pool.

I decided to get in some floor cleaning before dinner. But I completely ignored the fact that I need a wet or dry sheet to do that. I was fine without it.

We were at the store shopping and I just got ants in my stroller and wanted to get out. So I ended up practicing walking.

Little by little I’m getting used to wearing my hat. Especially when it is sunny and I feel that it is necessary. Also I hear that I look really cute in my hat. Okay, I guess I’ll wear it for fashion’s sake as well.

Mommy and Daddy have been giving me my doggy (previously Mommy’s doggy “House”) to nap and sleep with. Sometimes he comforts me and helps me sleep and sometimes I toss him aside because I associate him with going to bed. Today I was a little greedy and wanted to take my nap with not just House, but also my truck. Grandma and Grandpa love to tell the story about how Daddy used to take trucks instead of stuffed animals to bed when he was young. I guess I’m my Daddy’s boy. Although my small plastic truck is much safer than the sharp edged metal monstrosities that Daddy played with when he was young.
I like to follow Mommy and Daddy when they leave the living room, but sometimes they close the door at the kitchen. So I sit there and wait for them to come back. But the door opens inward so they are stuck outside. It’s fine. We still find ways to play together, even with a door separating us.

I am a handful and I know that Mommy and Daddy have not gotten much sleep since…well, since I was born. So they take catnaps here and there. Daddy found that the best way to nap is to form a barrier to keep me in a safe area so that I don’t wander off when he naps. But he also is awake enough to catch me and even talk to me, even though he is sleeping. I think this is one of those parenting super powers that I heard about.

We don’t know when I’m going to stand or walk so it seems that I always have a camera on me hoping to capture the moment. Alas, a lot of footage of a busy morning, but no walking.

I’ll play with my cars all over the place. Even when it looks like I’m sleepy and ready for a nap, I’ll still play with my cars.
Can cushions be fun? Yes. They are nice soft and fun.

I’m usually so busy moving around that I don’t have time to sit in my chair unless someone plants it right in front of the TV. But every so often I just need a break and need a place to sit. It is at these times that I appreciate my chair.
I sometimes throw mini tantrums when I get frustrated or upset about something. It is hard to be a baby and not be able to communicate what you want. Even my teachers at nursery school have seen this side of me and said it looks like I’m break dancing when I throw my little tantrums. Hopefully there will be less tantrums as I get better at communicating what I want or what is upsetting me. But until then, I guess I have to break dance.

My classmates and I are all good eaters! We love our meal time and snack time and eat quite happily! That makes our teachers very happy and also the nutritionists who make our food. They do such a good job, I hope they know how much we appreciate the delicious and healthy food they make for us. I appreciate them twice as much as others since I tend to have seconds of everything.

I pretty much play with my Legos every day. That means that they are almost always scattered on the floor. But from time to time I actually make an effort to put them back into the box. (Only to dump them back out again, but still, it is progress.)
I love dancing to my Koi nobori greeting card music, but I always need Mommy or Daddy to press the button to start the music. I know where the button is and how to press it, but I just can’t press it hard enough right now. Luckily Mommy and Daddy are always happy to help me out since they love watching me dance!

For about two weeks I have been weaning off breast milk. It was a little hard to adjust at the beginning, but I think I’m getting used to it. Even before I was weaned I already was only being nursed first thing in the morning and right before bed. Then we started to skip my morning nursing, which was okay because I had my breakfast right away. Then we stopped my pre-bedtime nursing. It wasn’t as bad as I thought because usually my dinner was enough to hold me over until morning. But just to make sure my tummy is full and to make sure I get my vitamins and nutrients I have been drinking milk before bed. I usually have it in a bottle, but we decided to stop bottles too. So I have been drinking milk from a sippy cup either after dinner or right before bed and I have been loving it! Just look at the smile on my face!
I do miss the special nursing time with Mommy, but we now share our time together in different ways, like nice long hugs!

Our teachers at nursery school brought out the mats for us to play with. We had a lot of fun climbing, tumbling and rolling around. For some reason we bunched up when we played and bumped up against each other quite a bit, but that was part of the fun!
