I started feeling sleepy and asked Mommy to carry me. I instantly felt so comfortable that I just slipped right to sleep.

I love my Koi nobori Boy’s Day card that Obachan got me! The music is so nice that it often soothes me during some of my worse tantrums. It distracts me when I’m feeling down. And it cheers me up when I need to smile. And it has great tunes to dance to. Boy does it have great dancing music!

Daddy was trying to change my diapers but I ran away from him. So he chased after me and started to pull my pants down. For some reason I found that to be really funny and started laughing like crazy. So Daddy kept pulling my pants down and I kept laughing. It a very funny pantsing situation!

Mommy and Daddy have been encouraging me to stand and walk, since I have been doing it off and on for brief moments. I’m probably capable of standing and taking steps, but don’t really make an effort to try. The times that I have done it were all unintentional when I was focused on something else. So, to prepare me for that day, Mommy and Daddy try to help me practice walking in different ways.

I’m still not standing or walking, but Mommy and Daddy are still very proud of me for trying!

When I can, I like to help around the house, like helping with the laundry. But I don’t doing it for nothing. This morning I tried to trade the laundry for Daddy’s breakfast. It didn’t work.

It’s Saturday today. I think I’ll take it easy today.
10 minutes later…

Oh so busy.

The weather is so hot these days, I welcome any opportunity I have to not wear clothes. So after my bath I often try to escape from the putting on pajamas part and run off to play.

I took the day off from school today. My temperature has been fairly high, but not feverish, this whole week and my nose has been running a lot the past few days. The school recommended that I stay home and rest. Which was probably good advice because I slept a lot today. I had a nice long morning nap with Daddy and when Obachan came to watch me in the afternoon I had a nice long nap then too.
I was very happy to see Obachan and started playing with her the moment she arrived. I didn’t give her any trouble today. When Daddy had to start work I visited him a bit, but when I realized that he was working and would be busy I left him alone and went to play with Obachan. We had a great time! It is so nice of her to always come and help when we need her.
Did you know toilets in Japan come with control panels? I’m not sure what all the buttons do, but I try to press all of them. Daddy seems against me pressing those buttons in general, but he especially doesn’t want me to press them when he is using the toilet. That just makes those buttons more intriguing.
The kitchen is such an awesome place. Not only is that where all my food comes from, but it is also where I find a lot fun things to play with. I found a baking pan today and found out it makes cools sounds when you drop it!

Every morning there is a stretching and exercise segment on TV and if I’m up early enough I join in. Reach up, stretch…cross your arms, stretch…

Today is tanabata. Our wishes were displayed down in the lobby of the building for a while now, but they were brought up for today. As you can see in the picture I’m more interested in reading everyone’s wishes on the tree than doing as told and posing for the picture.
