We went cruising in the park today and I had a lot of fun bird watching. When I saw the ducks or pigeons I would point and say, “Aah, aah, aah!”

I just had my hair combed and I am looking quite dapper. It only lasted a little bit, but it looked good for a while!
I had a couple new things at dinner as well. I had nira (Chinese chives) in an omelette and lettuce in soup. I liked them both and ate everything up!
We got a call from Obachan who asked if it was okay to stop by. She found some cheap diapers and bought them for me and wanted to drop them off. We were of course thrilled to have her stop by. I was very happy to see her and put on quite a show for her.
The teachers at my nursery school suggested that I graduate from baby food and start eating regular toddler school lunch. They say that I eat so well (and so much) that they think I should be eating regular food. In order to do that, they want to make sure that I can eat all the foods on the school lunch menu without any allergic reactions. So Mommy and Daddy are planning a to add a bunch of new foods to my diet. Actually, not just foods, but also condiments. So I think my meals are about to get heartier and tastier.
Today for lunch I had some stir fry with a little bit of oyster sauce for the first time. I liked it! Very very tasty! This is what my second bite looked like.

For snack, I had pancakes, which is nothing new, but with strawberry jam, which is new. I’ve had strawberries before, but not jam. Things just got a whole lot sweeter.
Once we were sure that I could eat it safely, I was set loose on the rest of my snack. And boy did I have a large of amount of snacks today. Before you ask, yes, I finished it all!

We went to the library today. Or course, we wanted to check out the books, but also we wanted to beat the heat at a cool air conditioned building. We have air conditioning at home, but this way we can be cool on the city’s dime.
There were a lot of books in the kids area and I was quite interested in a lot of them, but I was more interested in a little girl running around. She was only a few months older than me but she was standing, walking, running, and talking already. Woah. I have a lot of catching up to do.
I woke up early so that I could get a lot of play time in, and that is exactly what I did!

With all my playing, I might have overdone it and misjudged my energy capacity.

I was beat. Time for a morning nap.

Oooh, that’s nice!

I can’t start my day without playing with my cars.
Daddy feeds me breakfast every morning so I thought it would be nice to return the favor. I fed him some breakfast this morning. Some of MY breakfast. I usually don’t share food. This was a very big step for me.

I woke up early this morning despite it being Sunday. Or, did I wake up early because it is Sunday? I want to get as much Mommy and Daddy time as I can on the weekends. So I wake up early and excited on the weekends, albeit a bit sleepy.

Mommy had to work today, so I spent the day with Daddy. We had a great time! We played a lot, talked a lot, and relaxed a lot too! We always have a great time together! I was really well behaved too! No big tantrums today. I ate all my food and took a bath without any problems.

I cried when it was time to be put to bed. Recently, I cry at bedtime. There is so much fun to be had and I don’t want to miss out. I cried in my crib for a while, but I was asleep within 10 minutes, which is pretty much normal for me recently. We all miss the days when I would just go to bed quietly. But that all got messed up when I had my fever a while back. Still, I sleep well, it is just the first few minutes that are hard for all of us.
When we walked to the store it was just a little drizzly. Right before we headed home there was a brief but heavy downpour. When we headed back home the wind had picked up. I thought it was fun! It was a bit tough for Daddy who was trying to divert the wind and rain with the umbrella. We made it home safely after a fun windy walk home.

With summer pretty much upon us, the days are getting longer and a lot sunnier. We have been looking for a hat for me for a while now. I think we found a good one. We didn’t buy it yet, but I’m pretty sure that this had is the one. It fits nicely, is breathable, packable, washable, and it looks really good! Oh, and it has dinosaurs on it!

Daddy went to the bathroom and when he came out, this is what he found. He asked me what happened and if I made the mess. I non-verbally told him that I had no idea what he was talking about. Mess? I was just looking for a snack.
Gross, I know. That’s not my goal. I’m just a baby experimenting. I’m sure it’s just a phase and it will pass.

Daddy said that this face that I have been making recently looks like an old man face, you know when they don’t have their dentures in. I guess I can see it, after all, I don’t have that many teeth either. Daddy said that I look like Carl Fredricksen from the movie Up. I haven’t seen it. What do you think?
