Teacher love my laugh

My teachers at my nursery school love it when I laugh. I laugh with my whole face and body and it can be quite infectious. Today my teacher sat me on her lap and then swayed me side to side. That hit my funny bone and I was laughing like crazy. They like to find the little things that make me laugh, which is not always easy because it tends to change from day to day.

Busy morning, falling asleep on the floor

I usually am very active in the morning. Not only do I wake up early, but I wake up ready to go! I’m always hungry so after devouring my breakfast I start to play. More and more, I just play on my own as Daddy watches me. I no longer need to be entertained or anything. Of course, we play together too, but the majority of the time I’m doing my own thing.

For some reason I was really sleepy this morning. (Daddy: Because you wake up so early.). Like I said, “for some reason”. I was so sleepy and comfortable that I just fell asleep on the floor as Daddy stroked my back while we FaceTimed with Grandma and Grandpa. I almost never just fall asleep when I’m at home. I must have been more sleepy than I thought and Daddy’s back strokes must have been more soothing that he intended. I slept all the way until it was time to go to school.

Not paying attention

I don’t know if you noticed, but I’m not the most attentive student when it is class time. I am always looking around at other things. I have a hard time concentrating on the speaker. Every once in a while you’ll catch me looking in the right direction. But the rest of the time, not so much.

I guess that is why I’m so observant. I don’t get so absorbed in one thing that I miss the rest of the things around me. I’m always looking around for something else to learn.

Miitsuketa

I enjoy the variety of kids’ shows that they have on early in the morning, but one of my favorites is Miitsuketa. I always perk up when it comes on! I like one of main characters, Kosshi, who is a chair. I know, a chair, right? But it works! It is a very educational and entertaining TV show.

Spitting out tea

For some reason, I’ve started to spit out my tea when I’m drinking it. I can’t tell you why because I don’t know myself. I think it is just a bit of an experiment. I like the sound it makes and the feeling of the tea coming out through my teeth. I went through a similar phase when I would spit out my rice. We are all hoping that I get over this phase quickly. Because, I’ll be honest, I don’t really like having a wet shirt.

Rash

Uh oh. I got a rash. All these red spots appeared up and down my legs. I hope it isn’t something serious. I hear that Daddy will take me to the doctor’s tomorrow to have it checked out. It isn’t itchy or anything. It looks worse than it is.

Veggies

I like all my food, but I really like my veggies. If I have finger food steamed vegetables like carrots and sweet potatoes, I’ll try to eat all the veggies up before I touch any of the other foods. Mommy and Daddy slip spoonfuls of rice and the main dish in between bites, but I like stuffing my faces with steam vegetables.

Outdoor walk & indoor balloons

As usual, I enjoyed our walk at school. It is nice to get out every day, even if it is hot and humid outside.

When we got back to school, we had a special treat and got to play with balloons. To be honest, I don’t really like balloons very much. I kept showing that I didn’t want to play with them or be near them. My classmates seemed to enjoy it though.

Doctor’s Office

I was okay on the way to the doctor’s office and even when we went inside the examination room. I was not okay when the nurse and doctor showed up. It was then that I realized that there would be an examination. I cried, but quickly recovered when they left. Daddy let me look around the room and outside the window to calm me down. I don’t like visiting the doctor. But this time it was worth it because we found out that my rash was just a rash. I didn’t have a fever, I didn’t show any signs of discomfort, and I didn’t have any symptoms that could be linked to something serious. It was just a rash that often occurs with babies during the summer. We were told that I may be more tired than usual and that might lead to some moodiness, but I was okay to go to nursery school. So that’s what we did. Yay!
