As usual, my morning before heading off to school was filled with books, playing with toys, and a bunch of smiles! The smiles while on the couch is usually to signal to Daddy that I’m waiting for a tickle attack.

I was so hungry from such an active day that I needed a little bit more to eat for snack than usual. So I had some apple sauce and collapsed the pouch very quickly. I’m not sure if apple sauce is a food or drink, but it tastes good and goes down very quickly to sate my hunger, and that is all that matters.

I had such a busy morning and early afternoon the I quickly fell asleep in the car on the way home from Costco, the play place, and petting zoo. I like to sleep in the car now because I feel like I’m making more use of my time. Instead of having to take a nap when we get home, now I can have my snack and play!
Nearby the play place was a small petting zoo. It was just the right size for me and had just the right kind of animals for my first petting zoo visit. I was fairly interested in all the animals but was not exactly excited. I calmly pointed out the different animals that I saw and made sure that Mommy and Daddy saw them too. I even touched a few of them, but was not interested in touching others. The animals that were bigger than me were a bit intimidating.

I enjoyed my petting zoo visit, but I was a bit tired from playing at the play place and am still a bit too young to fully appreciate the experience. Maybe I’ll be more excited when I’m older. Still, it was a nice new experience.
Even though we went to Costco first, we came to this area for me to try out a play place in the same complex as Costco. It is one of those pay to play areas that has toys, jungle gyms, ball pits, and a bunch of other fun things for kids. We had seen it before but I was a bit too little to enjoy it back then. Now, I think I’m the perfect age to start playing in a place like this.
My first stop was a quite toy area that was for kids around one year old. Perfect for me. There was a lot to see and touch. I didn’t really take to the train set they had there, but I liked the beads maze and rocking animals.

Mommy and Daddy were very impressed that I was not scared at all in a new place with a lot of strangers around me. Sometimes I’m braver and more outgoing than they give me credit for. I actually love new things and experiences. I had fun playing with my little kid toys, but I kept looking over at the big kids going nuts on the jungle gym and obstacle course. It looked like so much fun. I can’t wait until I can do that!
Seeing that I was used to the area, we moved on to more active fun: the ball pit. The ball pit was awesome! First of all, there were so many balls around me. More than I have ever seen in my life. It was a sea of colorful plastic balls. I had more fun than I can explain in words, so take a look at some pictures and videos.

But there’s more! The ball pit also had a tunnel and slide that added another level of fun to an already super fun play place.

The last area we visited today had a Rody to ride on and a car to ride in. I instantly new that I was supposed bounce on the Rody, so bounce I did. It was so much fun. Even after I took a tumble off the Rody, I still had a lot of fun. (I bumped my head, but was fine. I had a red mark but nothing else.)

Driving the car was a lot safer and I didn’t take any spills or cause any fender benders. Although I was trying to drive safely, I was also trying to look good while doing it. I gave off a “just cruisin'” vibe as I drove around.

I had so much fun at this play place! I plan to come back and hopefully even visit other play places as well! It was a good opportunity for me to try some new things. It is also a good chance to see what kind of things and toys I’m into without buying them, like test driving a car (which I kind of did). With the weather getting a lot warmer, it is a good way to stay active but out of the heat as the sweltering summer approaches. We were only there for an hour, but maybe we’ll stay longer next time. I had a blast!

It may look like I’m being attacked by a dinosaur, but it is actually just his way of giving a kiss. Kind of like a dog giving a friendly lick.
Mommy and Daddy occasionally try to trick me into taking my first step. They put the table just out of arms reach or sit a little further back, hoping I’ll take a step. But I’m on to them. I’m fine not walking just yet. I’ll get there in my own time. Even though I’m sure I could stand on my own and take a step or two right now, but I’m just not wanting to. Although, I often lower myself from a supported stand to a squat without holding on to anything. For some reason, I don’t mind doing that.

Recently I like climbing up on the coffee table. It gives me a better view of the TV. I prefer a straight-on viewing angle to looking up at the TV from the floor.
I discovered that when I slide my mug cover on the table, it makes a squeaky noise. I like it and think it is a really fun sound! But I have a feeling that there may be people who don’t like it. It might sound like fingernails on a chalkboard for some, so proceed to watch the video with caution.

Even after a long day, I still have energy to keep playing while waiting for my bath to be ready. My outdoor meal gave me a lot of energy and I’m not quite ready to call it a day. I watched a bit of Baby Shark, clapping along a little, and played peekaboo with my Lego. But before long my bath was ready and it was time to start my bedtime routine.

Mommy had to work today even though it is a Saturday, so Daddy and I thought she must be in need of a pick-me-up. Daddy suggested that we meet up at a wine festival on way back from work. She loved the idea. So Daddy packed up a dinner for me and we hopped on the subway to meet Mommy at the wine festival.

Mommy and Daddy had been to it before the pandemic, but it was cancelled for the past couple of years. It was a very nice outdoor event with a lot of wine choices. Mommy and Daddy had a couple of sample-sized cups of wine while I happily at my dinner. It was like a picnic. Well, actually maybe more like a dinner and a show because there were a couple of singers entertaining everyone there. We had a great time! It is fun to do different things but sometimes seizing the moment and doing something at the spur of the moment can make everything much more exciting.

I had fun messing around with Daddy’s phone and glasses for a bit. I hope I don’t need glasses, but if I do, it is nice to know that I don’t look bad with them on.

We didn’t stay long because I needed to take a bath and go to bed (even though it was still light outside). Still, just a short time outside among the festivities was so much fun and a great pick-me-up for Mommy after a long day’s work and a long week for that matter. I hope we do things like this again!
You know that I’m strong and that I’m able to push my chair around with relative ease. Well, now I can pull it around too. But I need to learn which side to pull it from because today I blocked myself in. I got frustrated and when I tried to correct the situation by pulling the chair more, I just made it worse. It was not my best moment.
Recently I’ve been more musical and I like to clap and move along with music. We found that Baby Shark and the many related songs are great for clapping, moving, and apparently singing(?) as well!

I had a pancake for snack today. Even though Mommy had to go to work today, she made sure I had a nice snack prepared. Yum!
But it wasn’t quite enough so I also had a baby veggie biscuit. A bit harder than I’m used to, but tasty and heartier too!

I’m so tired that I am just not myself. I had a tired tantrum tonight. I was not happy and I didn’t know what I wanted. I don’t like to feel like this, but it happens, especially when I’m not perfectly healthy. It’s been a rough week: fever, roseola, fussiness, and tantrums. Let’s home that tomorrow is a healthy and happy day for me.

I took it easy at the park today. I just enjoyed the fresh air and watched the bubbles float by.
