Breakfast “morning set”

Mommy and Daddy like going to a certain coffee shop that has a “morning set” where you get a free piece of toast and hard boiled egg with a drink order. They really seem to enjoy it. I had my breakfast before we left so I didn’t get anything to eat. Still I was well behaved and happy with my teething ring. In the end, they did share some of their egg with me.

Bath door

So many things in the bath interest me. One recent discovery was the bath door. It slides back and forth, back and forth. I tested it out a lot. And that is all it does. It slides back and forth, back and forth. And still I found it to be very interesting.

No green thumb, just a red one

Every since I’ve been born, Daddy has been neglecting his garden. He attempts to keep it maintained but has a hard time finding the time. Raising me is a full time job without much time to raise vegetables. Despite the lack of maintenance, vegetables and herbs still grow regularly in our tiny little garden. I decided to help Daddy out with gardening. I confirmed that the tomato was ripe and ready to be picked.

Afternoon with Obachan

Obachan came over to watch me this afternoon while Daddy worked. Since I had such a nice morning with Daddy and no traumatic experience at school, I played very nicely with her. I didn’t even bother Daddy while he was working. I just played hide-and-seek with Obachan, played with my toys, went for walks, and had a very peaceful afternoon. Thank you Obachan!

Rocking Bug

The park we visited today doesn’t have any swings, but it does have rocking bugs. They are like rocking horses, but they are bugs instead of horses. It did not move as far or fast as a swing, but it was still pretty fun! My feet were just able to reach the stirrups so I could ride it myself. Yeehaw!

Checking out the cherry blossoms

We’ve tried several times to see the cherry blossoms this spring, but all without luck. We have either been too early or too late. It seems that the sakura trees bloom in different areas in different times. When Daddy and I went to the park today we were able to see a few cherry blossoms on their last legs. Every time the wind blew, some cherry blossoms would flutter down to the ground. It was quite pretty!

Bedroom AC remote control

When Daddy takes care of me, he invites me to follow him wherever he is going. So when he went to change his clothes, he told me to follow him into the bedroom. I did and then went straight to my favorite play place in the bedroom: the bed. More accurately, I climbed on the bed and crawled across to the nightstand because that is where the AC remote control is. For some reason I always want to play with it when I go to the bedroom.

Happy on the swings

We visited the park for a bit today and I had a ball on the swings! I love it!

I like the thrill of the swing, but it seems I’m not the only one. While I was riding the swings some other kids came to the park and a little girl got on the swing next to me. I watched her swing for a while. She could swing without help! It was amazing. She just moved her legs and leaned back and forth and somehow was able to swing on her own. I can’t wait until I can do that!

No school for a couple of days

On the way to the park Daddy got a phone call from my nursery school saying that they would be closed for the next couple of days. Something about someone testing positive. Daddy sounded concerned. I don’t know why. Doesn’t “positive” mean good? Anyway, I was told that I would be staying home for the next couple days. For the most part, I was happy to hear this news. I would rather stay home than go to nursery school. However, it is too bad, because I was looking forward to lunchtime again. That was really good!

Well, if no one else tests positive then I’ll be back in school next Monday. I plan to enjoy my time at home as much as possible!
