I heard that you shouldn’t sit too close to the TV, I’m standing quite far away.

I heard that you shouldn’t sit too close to the TV, I’m standing quite far away.

So I was exploring as I usually am, then when I reached the kitchen I happened to look up. Bananas! They don’t normally grow in these parts, but there they were, just waiting to be picked. And how convenient that they were hanging at a Mason-friendly height.

I’ve been playing with my stuffed whale a lot lately. By playing, I mean chewing on him. I’ve been “playing” with him so much that he is looking a little discolored in spots. I think we have to give him a bath soon. Also, he isn’t tasting as fresh as he used to.

Yep, I’m still trying to tear things apart. It all started with the shopping bag and I’m still working on it. I don’t know why I’m trying to tear things apart. I guess it is just a challenge. What’s more curious is how I try to tear things apart. No one taught me to try to tear things apart over my head for more strength. It is just something I naturally figured out.

Just looking for something

When I eat I go through different moods. Overall, I’m a very good eater, eager and with a good appetite. There isn’t anything I don’t like at the moment. So feeding me is very easy. But sometimes when the food comes too slow or in small portions I get mad and can throw mini tantrums. That is the bad side. But, I usually calm down and turn the charm back on. Oh, so pretty.

Sometimes when Daddy wakes up, he doesn’t really wake up. A hug and smile from me usually wakes him up for real.

I’m in a new phase. I try to tear or rip things apart by holding them over my head and pulling really hard. Remember what I was doing with the shopping bag the other day? Well, I tried to do the same thing with my baby wipes. So far I haven’t been able to tear anything apart, but that is part of my research: what is tearable?

I was playing with my baby mug and spilled some barely tea on the table. I’m not one to waste, so I started to lick it up off the table. It tasted a bit woody with earthy tones.

As a typical baby, I put everything I find in my mouth. It’s just our thing. It is how we understand and interact with the world. Also, it feels good when I’m teething. I’ve been trying to chew with the back of my mouth because it is the most itchy there.

I’ve been practicing eating things with my hands and am pretty good at grabbing food and putting it in my mouth. But since I only have two teeth I sometimes can’t take bites. I know that I shouldn’t eat the piece whole if it is too big, so I end up just chewing on it and sucking on it. That’s what I did with a piece of mandarin orange. The membrane was too strong for me to bite through. I think Mommy is going to have to supreme it the next time she feeds it too me.

I found a shopping bag today. I was snooping through the pockets of Mommy’s bag and I found this shopping bag rolled up in one of the outer pockets. I took it out and managed to undo the fastener and unrolled it. Then I proceeded to try to rip it to pieces. Wait, that doesn’t sound very nice. Let’s just say that I “tested it’s tensile strength”.

I am very active, which is good, but sometimes I find myself in tough predicaments. At those times I need a little help.

It may not look like it, but I really like kids’ songs videos. They are catchy and colorful and full of interesting characters. It is just that sometimes I’m so into it that I show no reaction. And then other times I do.

I did it! I climbed up on to the couch! I knew I could do it! Only 16 days since I first pulled myself up to standing and now I’m climbing. Next up, standing on my own two feet, walking, running, and then jumping. At the pace I’m going I should have all those things figured out in about a month.
I just started climbing and am already targeting things that I shouldn’t be touching. I see some more changes in where Mommy and Daddy put things in the future.
