Dinner out

We went out to the city for dinner today. There was a lot of good food to be eaten. Not only did I eat a lot of meat, but I also had some ikura sushi too. I think all restaurants should have ikura sushi on the menu. You can’t go wrong with it.

For some reason I saw the lemon that came with the karaage and said that I wanted to taste it. Mommy and Daddy gave me fair warning that it was sour and that I wouldn’t like it. At the last second I decided that I should listen to them this time and I didn’t taste the lemon.

When we finished dinner we were surprised to see that it was still bright out. The days are really getting longer in the summer. We stopped by a festival to see if they had dessert for me but they didn’t. So we went to a convenience store near home to get me ice cream instead. It was a big ice cream cone but I managed to eat the whole thing!

And just to end things on an exciting note, I made Daddy do some dynamic sleeping poses with me at bedtime.

Big day

I knew that I had a big day ahead of me so I requested a big breakfast to give me the energy I needed. Along with my usual breakfast of fruits, bread, and banana yogurt, I requested a fried egg and sausages. I ate everything.

We had storybook time today and the book was about left and right. So we practiced raising our left and right hands. Well, some of us did.

We had English class today and we practiced our number, colors, and body parts. We also sang The Itsy Bitsy Spider! I was happy because I know that song and sing it with Daddy.

Our walk was cut short because it started to rain. It was okay. We still had a lot of fun at school.

At home I had some time to play before dinner so I broke out the Lego and started making all kinds of creations.

The bar and fingerpainting

Even though it was not our usual gymnastics day, we practiced the bar today. It was not our special gym teachers helping us, but our school teachers. It made it easier for me to participate. Even though I haven’t had much practice (because of opting out all the time) I did pretty good.

We did some finger painting today too. I was very careful about mixing the paints and applying them to the paper with the least amount of mess possible.

Rain check and gymnastics

We were planning to go for a walk before it started raining but when we go outside we saw that it had already started raining. Too late. Oh well. Maybe we’ll have better luck next time.

I moved my observation from the gallery to the sidelines and was right there with my friends to cheer them on as they practiced gymnastics. When it was my turn, I ran up and touched the gym equipment. Baby steps toward actually fully participating in the gymnastics class.

Sharing ice cream with Mommy

Daddy got some ice cream for Mommy and me to share, but I was not happy with the amount or speed of the ice cream coming my way. Mommy, Mason, Mommy, Mason was not sitting well with me. The way I was acting it was as if I expected Mason, Mason, Mason, Mommy, Mason, Mason, Mason. It might sound like I’m being greedy, but we wouldn’t have this problem if Daddy just got us one ice cream Sunday each. I’m just saying.

Torius play area

We went to Costco today and Daddy dropped Mommy and me off at the play area while he went shopping. I was very excited at the play area and was acting silly.

I had fun riding cars. My favorite blue car was still there and I made sure to keep my but on it so that no one else could get it.

I played in the ball pit and had a ball!

I played with the Purarail train set too, but I forgot that it was not there just for me. I ended up crying because some other kids tried to play with it too. Actually, I think I was in the right because I was there first, but I guess I could have just shared a few of the trains and sections of the train track with other kids. I like the play area but am not to fond of the fact that many other kids go there too.

Daddy finished shopping and caught up with us. I forgot all my woes when we went into the bouncy house. Boy did we work up a sweat.

I had a ball again in the ball pit again! Well, that is until some other kids were encroaching on my space. I started crying because they were all up in my space when I was going to go down the slide. That was a sign that I was quite tired and it was time to go.

I love going to the play area but I wish it was there just for me. I’m working on being okay with other kids playing there too, but it is not easy. Hopefully I’ll be able to enjoy the play area without any crying the next time we come here.

We were looking for cars in my book but I guess Daddy’s eyes aren’t as good as they used to be because he said he needed a magnifying glass. I had never seen one in real life before and I found it to be very interesting.

Today we made slime. I had played with slime at school today, but I never helped in making it. It was really cool how just a bunch of ingredients turned into slime. Fascinating!

I had a Happy Meal for dinner today and the toy was a Mario car toy. It was pretty cool. It didn’t have real wheels that turned or anything, but it could shoot a key. Awesome!

I spy

On our walk today we saw a lot of things. First we saw a police car and that got our attention.

We also saw some ducks and a lot of pill bugs.

We also were interested in the dessert menu at a cafe that we passed by.
