Smiles in my chair

As you know, I easily cry and fuss during the evening. Mommy and Daddy try all kinds of things to keep me happy. They talk to me, play with me, and entertain me in many different ways. Today Daddy put me in my chair and entertained me. He was just acting like a goofball, and it worked! I was all smiles in my chair.

Swing

I went to the park with Mommy again today! It is always fun to go to the park, but today we tried something new. We rode the swing! We didn’t swing that much, but it was still fun. Look how happy I am!

Next time I think I’m ready to swing by myself.

New foods

Every week I’m going to be increasing my solid foods and the types of solid foods I eat. I’m starting on veggies this week. Today I had some carrots. And I liked them a lot. Looking ate how well I’m eating, I doubt there will be any foods that I don’t like. I ate up the carrots very quickly with gusto and ate my okayu as well too. Very tasty stuff!

No food = tears

Boy, do I like solid foods! Boy, do I get upset when I eat all up!

I’m not in pain or in any discomfort. I’m not even hungry. Those tears are simply because I finished eating my food. Let me say that again so that no one things I’m being neglected. I ate all my food. The result of eating all my food is that it gone and there is no more food. That makes me sad and upset which brings on all the tears. Being a good eater is tough.

But, when I’m reminded that I am still being nursed and that I can fill up on breast milk, then all is right with the world again.

But just because I ate solid foods and nursed on breast milk, doesn’t mean I’m completely satisfied. Sure, my stomach is full, but my mouth is still hungry.

Chew toy or clarinet?

My chew toy has a very original design. It is alike a rattle, but is designed like a little man with a head, hands, and feet. I is made that I can chew on any part of him, but the top of his head is shaped like a nipple, so that is the part I chew on the most. But when I do that, doesn’t it look like a I’m playing a musical instrument, like a clarinet?

Fresh foot snack

I often chew on my feet these days. Apparently it is a very common thing for babies of my age. We are flexible enough that we can just raise our feet, grab our toes and stick them in our mouths. It is really cute, but sometimes Mommy and Daddy warn me that feet aren’t always clean. I guess not for them, with all the walking grownups do on feet, but I don’t think they’re dirty at all. Just to be safe, today I waited until just after my bath to snack on them. That’s when they are fresh, clean, and warm. Yum, yum, yum!

P.S. My hair is still getting longer.

Face feel

I have so much control over my hands now. I can easily reach out a grab the things I want. Without hesitation I can find my toys, grab them, and bring them to my mouth. These hands are such great handy things to have!

But my hands are also good for discovering and exploring things by touch. I know I lot of things by sight, but now I’m trying to know them by touch. So, today when Daddy was conveniently lying down next to me, I decided to explore his face with my hands. And let me tell you, these little fingers can find their way into all sorts of places.
