Spider-man pose?

Ojisan came to visit me today all the way from Tokyo. He had a morning flight and we met him at the airport and then we all went out to lunch. I’ve always played it stand-offish with Ojisan, often rejecting his gifts and pretending not notice him. But I’ve been warming up to him. It still took a little while to get comfortable, but in the middle of lunch I wandered over to sit next to him and we had fun talking and playing together.

I think it made him happy that I was friendlier this time. We had a fun teasing each other and being silly together.

When we got home there were times when I was a little sad because things weren’t going the way I wanted them to, but I recovered fairly quickly.

I was smiling again in no time.
It turns out that it was Ojisan’s birthday so we had a very toned-down birthday celebration. We didn’t sing Happy Birthday or anything, we just started eating some cake that Mommy picked up for everyone.

It was a very nice visit and I was happy to see Ojisan.

I can’t wait for his next visit!

Daddy stopped by the store and got me a little treat on his way home. I was distracted by the car-themed YouTube that I was watching, but when I saw what he had got for me, I was very happy. It was Minion bread and juice! I couldn’t wait to try them, but I also was still into watching my car videos.

Even though my fever is gone and I’m feeling much better, I’m still not 100%. I’m still a bit run down and am more likely to be moved to tears.
At school today there were times when things did not go the way I expected or wanted them to go so I ended up upset and crying. My teachers would comfort me in a quiet space to let me calm down and we would talk about things. I would always come around, but just coming off a cold made it harder to control my emotions and reactions. But I’m also only three, so that is to be expected.

We had our English lesson today and we had a ball. We sang songs, learned about colors and bugs. We had a lot of fun!

July 7 is tanabata so we sang a lot of star related songs at school.

Now that we are in the summer months, the days are getting longer. After we ate dinner tonight I noticed that it was still light outside. So I went for a nice evening drive.

When I went to bed last night, I still had a slight fever that would have kept me home from school. But this morning when I woke up, my fever had broken and I was feeling fine. I got to school after a very long absence. My teachers and friends were happy to see me and immediately we were off playing together.
We visited the subway station on our walk today and we discovered some glass embedded in some floor tiles. It was fascinating to us all. As much as I tried, I couldn’t get the glass out.

This fever just won’t go away. I had to stay home from school again today even though I feel fine. All the rest that I got really helped me feel better. Also, I think that high fever was doing its job and fighting off my cold. My fever today is not as high as yesterday, but still not low enough to go to school. So, another day at home.
I played with my toys. I goofed around.

I even had some iPad time too.

It was pretty relaxed day.

However, Mommy took me to the doctor’s again to see if we could get some new medicine that might help me. I still only got cold medicine, but I did get a lollipop as a treat so it was worth the visit.

I hope I’m better by tomorrow.

Oh man, my fever got even worse today. It was 39.4°C (103°F). Despite such a high fever I was a very good boy. Maybe I was just to weak to misbehave. I had very little energy and spent almost the whole day on the couch with Daddy. We watched TV, had some screen time, and read a lot of books. I think the books were nice because I didn’t really have to use my eyes. I could just relax, listen, and occasionally look at the pictures.
I was so tired that I just slipped into a nap while playing with the iPad. I had a nice long rest.

I woke up with a good appetite and ate well and played well. But I was just run down the whole day. I hope I start feeling better tomorrow.

My fever got worse over the weekend and it was too high for me to go to school today. I had a slight cough and was feeling quite tired, but still in a good mood.
Daddy stayed home with me and we had a relaxing day. We played at home with pretty much all my toys: Hotwheels, Legos, Magna-tiles, etc.
Daddy was using flashlight to fix one of my toys and I thought that it looked fun so I played with it a bit.

We watched movies and read books as well. It was like an extra weekend day so I was very happy. I was very well behaved and gave Daddy no trouble at all. I also still had a very good appetite and ate really well. My request for dinner was eggs so we all had breakfast for dinner tonight.

I told and showed Mommy about all the things we did today. Like how I used a yoga mat to change the terrain for my cars.

And we wrapped the day up with a little more silliness.

I’m still not feeling that great because of my cold. So we had a pretty lazy Sunday. But that doesn’t mean that we didn’t have fun. I had a great day playing with toys, playing with Mommy and Daddy, watching a couple of movies, and being silly a lot!

I’m always very goofy and silly just before bed, which is probably the opposite of what we want. But I like doing silly things with Daddy. We did a head bang bowing thing just before turning off the lights and going to bed.

When the laundry was brought in, I saw an opportunity to have some fun. I started to try on some of Daddy’s clothes. Everything was just a little bit big for me, but I’m sure I’ll grow into it soon.

I’ve been feeling a little bit under the weather with a cough recently, so we went to the doctor’s this morning. When we got there I had developed a bit of a fever. That was too bad because I was just about to play in the play area when they said that I had to sit in a separate quarantine-like area. It was okay. Daddy made sure I was entertained.
I don’t like going to the doctor’s, I don’t think anyone does, but I was a brave boy and got through the examination with no problem. It is just a cold so we picked up my medicine and headed home. We decided that I should take it easy today so we just stayed home for the rest of the day and did not over do it.

I felt good enough to do some driving.

But I was getting tired near the late afternoon so I had some screen time. It turns out that I was not the only one who was getting tired.

Mommy bought me a candy making kit today. It was so colorful and pretty. I did a pretty good job dropping in the different color solutions to make tiny pearl candies.

I was more interested in making and admiring them then eating them. I had a fruit jelly for dessert instead. It was very yummy!

Then it was back to my Magna-tiles.

You would think that I would run out of things to make with my Magna-tiles since there are only a limited number of shapes. But nope, I just keep on creating new things. I made a bus that had a convenient ramp for the passengers to use to board. Neat, yeah?

It had been raining so much lately that this was our first walk this week. We saw a lot of cool things. We saw a slug that was fascinating to us. We also saw some fallen flowers. I thought they were still very pretty even though they were wilted. Right now my favorite color is pink so I really liked the flowers.

Even in my sleep I seek out contact with Mommy and Daddy. I guess they do too. It is like our mutual security blanket that helps us sleep peacefully.

This is a very rainy rainy season so we had to play indoors again today. We had fun rolling around and climbing up and down on the gym mats.

We also had a lot of fun playing store and house.

Today I felt like eating hamburger steak. Daddy finished work early enough that we could catch the bus to the restaurant. Riding the bus was half the fun of going out to eat. I ate very well and had a great meal.

Since there weren’t any good bus times we took a taxi back home. That was a lot of fun too! I enjoy riding taxis almost as much as riding buses. Of course we had to wait a bit for the taxi but that was okay. We looked at the moon, airplanes flying overhead and cars passing by. It was a nice way to spend the evening.

On our way home from school, Mommy and I spotted a tow truck. We were very excited to see one up close. It looked just like my toy tow truck. I have a JAF (AAA) tow truck of the same make and color.
